But I guess the secret to surviving the holidays is to realize that all those holiday ads and commercials are out of touch with reality. (I mean, some of them are so sugary they'd rot your teeth.)
And the old holiday songs are as well. But they're so familiar at this point that they may as well be reality.

I am hoooome.

The church is gorgeous. Philippe is very, very nice, and he unicycled and juggled and wirewalked and stole a lady's watch (I knew he'd do it so I was watching her wrist and I swear I never saw it.) Pictures to come later so you can see what the Cathedral looks like now and how a 59 year old can still unicycle and stuff.

Yeah the financial crisis is an issue too. But I'm reminded of something Uncle Jesse pointed out on Full House, "The first Christmas was in a manger, they did OK."

You're right about the holiday ads, especially the Wal Mart ones, hehe. Though I love the Christmas commercials from the '80s, very nostalgic! : D

Wow Meep, sounds like it was interesting!

It's the public link so you don't need Facebook to see it I don't think. Some of the church in there, but for a bigger picture, vision it like Philippe's circle is about where Big Bird sang in Jim's memorial service (unless in reconstruction they rotated everything around).

I forget, was Richard's in that part of the church, or was his in a different room?

Hmm...according to one interview with Jerry Nelson: "There was another memorial after he passed away, which was also held at St. John the Divine, but in the Chapel."

The only chapels that I know of on the premises are the seven chapels at the back of the cathedral, the Chapels of the Tongues, which are dedicated to groups of immigrants to New York.

There's St. Ansgar, for Scandinavia, St. Boniface for Germany, St. Columba for the UK and Ireland, St. Saviour for "peoples of the East," St. Martin for France, St. Ambrose for Italy and St. James for Spain.

BTW: Sara... How come you no longer have an avatar? Is okay if you choose not to have one, just wondering, as it makes things easier when wanting to find your profile page. Oh well. :smirk:

Hey guys! Guess what? I'm on my iPhone! Robert got me this thing for an early Christmas present! This is so totally awesome. Rob got it from a guy at the airport for only $100. I was able to just put my own AT&T 3G sim card inside it and it works perfectly too. Gosh, I love this phone.
