Aw, thanks a lot; some of the others in that block are really amazing. It looks like someone did a watercolor or oil painting on one of them.
No it's not selfish, you're human after all. I definitely understand the frustration and I think most people would too. A long time ago for my birthday I pretty much got only a bicycle. Which I needed and was happy about. But I felt slightly let down, lol.I also have contact lenses now! YAY! ...also them and my glasses are my "christmas gift" from Mom and Dad. Is it selfish to think this - "wow, glasses and contact lenses for Christmas. you've given me the gift of sight." - in a really sarcastic way? With eye rolls and everything?
Because I'm not getting anything else for Christmas from Mom or Dad. I mean, no presents whatsoever under the tree. I feel like on one hand "wow, you've given me the gift of sight, big whoop." but on the other hand, I'm grateful they bought me these things, as I needed them.
I guess I see them more as a "need" then a "want", which is really what Christmas gifts are. But it's still money spent either way, so I'm kinda on the fence. And no, I've not really been mean in any way to my parents over it either, I'm just.....I'm just at a loss for words over it. One hand I'm grateful, the other hand I'm going where's the presents?
What do you guys think about this? I'm really just messed up over it.
