So you've seen Ringo twice? Way cool - when I saw the band, the lineup had Greg Lake (fave singer and the reason I went), Howard Jones, Sheila E., Roger Hodgson, Ian Hunter and the ever-present Mark Rivera.
As for the Musketeers sketch, I'm still wondering if Jim, Richard and Dave walked off the set with their tongues tied in knots.
Now, as for seeing Richard on camera for extended periods in "Puppetman..." I'm probably being picky, but I don't think he was on camera enough.
But seriously - it was wicked cool; we get to see more of him than just his right arm. It's fun to watch him at work behind the scenes, and he had some of the best lines in the show. It's as you said - Del's probably intended to be a parody of what Richard was in real life; brilliant puppeteer, really good with children, but absolutely no patience for diva types like Rita.
I also noticed something: when Zack came into the room, Del was sitting down - and after he gave Zack a kiss, Del was able to lift Zack up onto the table without getting up from his chair. The way I see it, that took a certain amount of upper arm strength.
Of course, considering what Richard had been doing for the last 17 years (or 20+ if you count the puppet shows he did as a kid), it's a given that he'd have a lot of upper arm strength.
