Oh yeah, it does show his priorities. It's rare to find professionals who really understand that when working with kids. As I've said before, I was shocked to hear so many former child stars saying they lost so much self confidence because of the thoughtless comments of their grown up co-stars.

It actually makes sense that he'd understand the effect. He was, after all, one of the Muppet's original fans.

Oh here it is! The pre show from Walt Disneyland:

And here's Walt Disneyworld, (don't know if there's a difference lol):

Remember, this is Richard's last major project with the Muppets!

Scooter is really channeling the Frog here I think, from the authority to the utter frustration! Kermit would be proud.
Thank you for sharing the clips with us, Heralde.
I was brought to tears seeing Scooter (I don't know why)--from happiness, of course.

He sounded so much like Kermit--it was amusing!
LOL!

The voice is a little deep there...

Hehe
*Girlish giggle*

Me likie.

You know, the whole time I was watching the clip last night I thought "What's different? Something's different..." And it occured to me, it sounded more like Kermit! Aww, our little gopher's growing up.

There's this shot from the memorial of all the puppeteers together. It's from pretty far away and for two seconds, I looked at Richard and thought it was Jim, hehe. Well he was wearing the shirt that he bought it "the day I decided I was going to look just like him."

That melts my heart. XD
I like thinking the thought of Scooter looking up to Kermit.
It seems fitting.

Gone are the days when Scooter would cite his uncle's connections. By Muppetvision 3-D, it would have been, "J.P. who?"

And Scooter is growing up - after all, Kermit's left him in charge of the pre-show, and he's trying to keep order. And as for Scooter sounding like Kermit - well, in Of Muppets and Men, it says that Richard could really imitate Jim's Kermit voice, so there you go.

It's the static on the video, I suppose, and the fact that it's a wide shot. It gives you the illusion that there's a bit of fuzz on Richard's cheeks. And you guys are right - he does kinda look like Jim for a moment there.
The site's got a good set of photos - and like I said several posts ago, my favorite's the close-up of Scooter, Gobo and Wembley. For me, it's just really cool to see Scooter up there with two of the Fraggles.

I've always suspected that the gopher was at least part Fraggle! Lol, but seriously I do think it's cool to see the two so different Muppet worlds side by side like that.

Gone are the days when Scooter would cite his uncle's connections. By Muppetvision 3-D, it would have been, "J.P. who?"
Aw that is so sweet, lol. The way I see it, I think Scooter was always an admirer of the Frog, but he knew he wouldn't be let in the group so easily, being so young and inexperienced. So he really laid the Uncle connection on thick and let Kermit think he wasn't TOO eager to follow in his footsteps, when in reality he was. Which served to drive Kermit completely insane, which I get the feeling Scooter enjoyed too, hehe. That's how I see it anyway.

I thought of another Scooter moment I like, that's probably not noticed very much because it's not the focus of the scene. Just something you'd notice if you're paying attention. In MTM, after Kermit regains his memory (after getting thrown across the room by Piggy) and everyone crowds around him. If you watch Scooter while everyone's talking, he exclaims, "You do remember us!" And in the record/book version (again, if you listening carefully), Scooter says, "Oh Kermit, I knew you'd come back!"

Though interestingly, Scooter is the first one in the MTM to make the tough, unpopular decisions. He knows it's time for the gang to split up at the beginning, even though it's hard for everyoe and gets a bad reaction. Later on, when the gang can't get Kermit to remember them, everyone's so upset and desperate, and Scooter takes on the tough and thankless task of saying, "There's nothing left do, we're gonna have to go on without him!" He doesn't want that to happen of course, but he's trying to do what's best for the group in a practical sense, which demonstrates the different sides of his character. Thankfully, Kermit does come back and allows the gopher to be his cheerful self again.

Oh and while we're on the subject of little moments in MTM; when they first find Kermit and discover he has Amnesia, Janice anxiously asks, "You don't know us?" and Kermit replies, "Well I'm afraid not...uh...should I?" The scene goes on of course but if you keep watching Janice, she's just devasted.

I swear more than another other Muppet movie, MTM is such an emotional heartache fest, lol. You'll really start tearing up if you're not careful!

Oh, I know - and you know, I've always found MTM to be a difficult movie to watch. It's all the emotional ramifications and stuff. I would have wanted more of the sight gags and visual puns that you see in the first two.

And you know something - when I saw MTM for the first time at age 6 or 7, I was disappointed that Kermit and Miss Piggy got hitched at the end. (or at least that's what the pig claims; the frog states they're only in a professional relationship)

Now, back to Scooter: I also noticed that of the Muppets, Scooter is the first one to write back to Kermit, it seems. Sure, Scooter's letter arrived in a batch of letters from other Muppets - but Kermit read Scooter's letter first.

And in TMM - Scooter is sitting immediately to Kermit's right in the screening room. So perhaps that's what it is, heralde - Scooter secretly looked up to Kermit much more than he did his uncle, but he had to use his uncle's connections to get a toehold at first.

Ah yes... The postcards, the one element I thought missing from Aunt Ru's wonderful fic. And you know something? The one from Cincinnatti, OH is my favorite one of all.
*Grabbing a handful of kernels, tossing them up, and letting it fall back into the machine. "Yaey, pöpy-kurn."
*Waving paper glasses around: "Doodlee-doodlee-doo"

"Sir... You forgot your glasses!"
*Rushes off to catch up with Lew, already in the theater.

Well, I finally have my voice back. But because of some mix-ups at work and stuff....well, I'll back up and explain it clearly.

Due to my car accident, my wrist was hurt. Not broken, but deeply bruised. So, I couldn't do my normal maintence job, so I was bumped down to light duty. That's okay, shuffle papers for a couple of weeks, till I can get back to normal work. Well, they had said at first that I would come in at 7:30am to start work. So I was coming in at 7:30 am and leaving at 3:30pm, giving me a full 8 hours of work. Chappelle, (the person who was over me for the time being) [I'll finish this later, I'm on someone else's computer]
