So I walked into the kitchen this morning and lo and behold, a MOUSE was on my BREAKFAST! šŸ¤¢šŸ˜”

Good God how I loathe them. Ran passed the glue my parents left last night underneath the stove.

We've been having a mouse problem lately too. It's because both all our cats either died or ran away. That's why as soon as the pandemic is over, one of our very first goals is to get a new cat!

I am glad, there's so many alley cats, coyotes, and dogs in my area, no rats/mice.

Makes me grateful to not live in Australia or Florida with how cane toads are a big pest in both areas.

There must be a mouse pandemic as well, because likewise, I've been having mice problems these past several months too . . . like I said, back in November I think it was, it was such poetic justice that I was watching MOUSEHUNT one night, and then just happened to find a mouse caught in a trap in the kitchen!

But seriously, I think just since last summer/fall or so, I've caught about five or six mice . . . just when you think you've stopped catching them since the traps aren't being disturbed, and you put the traps away and resume normal life, suddenly you start seeing droppings again . . . I think mice are smarter than we give them credit for.

I have to go and get a new battery for my iPhone 8 this weekend, and it's only two years old.

Mice are smart. The one that got into my pantry last year managed to avoid the traps I set, but made off with the bait. I put a little spoon of peanut butter in each one, but the traps didnā€™t snap. The little fink.

At least it was just one mouse. Usually if you see one, thereā€™s more. Fortunately I found Peppermint oil kept him away. Cheaper than calling an exterminator.

In the summertime we had a problem with ..
ants. Somehow they got in through the kitchen sink. So the sink and counter has to get wiped down after cooking

We had an outdoor cat that used to bring us ā€œpresentsā€. I got a few dead mice, a bird, and a baby bunny that was still alive. And it wasnā€™t even my birthday.

Seeing this.

Like, as a VHS lover, a big fan of the OG Shrek movie, and someone who has fond memories of watching the movie on VHS, this was heartbreaking to watch.

I literally told my own copy Iā€™d never do it to that even if it canā€™t hear me. But yeah, I really hate these videos because thatā€™s just a big waste of a VHS tape that someone could have with them and enjoy.
