What the little lego people don't mention is that China knew of the virus on January 14th and failed to mention it until January 20th. During that time, millions of people traveled through Wuhan which perpetuated the wide spread travel of the disease. Also, China did not report any cases from Jan 5th to Jan 17th of what was at the time thought to be an unusual flu, even though thousands were being hospitalized. So yeah, China did tell us about it in January, but not REALLY. It's like knocking over a candle, but waiting until the entire house is on fire before you tell anyone.

Oh, and when they finally did tell us we instituted a travel ban from China. A ban that, at the time, was called too harsh by Nancy Pelosi. Now she says it was not harsh enough. The virus had already spread to Europe and we didn't ban travel from Europe until it was already too late.

The US response did leave much to be desired. Frankly, we should have locked down all international travel immediately and only allowed citizens back in after a 14 day quarantine. We also screwed up with the whole mask thing. The CDC said for people not to wear masks because it did not help much with contracting the virus, which is true. What they failed to realize until recently is that it does help prevent the spread of the virus. Sadly, Americans are mostly selfish and think mostly of self preservation and not the preservation of others so we only looked at ways to keep from getting it, not keep from giving it.

But no, the little Lego people are right. China is great. I wonder how D'Snowth feels about Hitler and the propaganda he spread in the late 30's and early 40's. I guess he would have to be Lego-fied first... oh wait, here:

They’d tear up their ‘Murican Express cards, boycott ‘Murican cheese, and ban Paul Simon’s “‘Murica” from the radio. Dang me!

Pretty much sums up D'Snowth's credibility right there. It's unfortunate cause I believe D'Snowth is a good guy. But his political hatred has consumed him.

If the US is so awful and China is perfect why not move there? I'm pretty sure you will learn pretty fast how "great" China really is. This thread is about Covid updates and how people are doing. Not your Political Views and Chinese Propaganda. It's rich how you put down Fox yet believe Chinese State Media.

There’s also evidence sunlight/heat/humidity kills the virus, or at least slow it down. I’m really hoping our church can open soon. We have a tract of land across the street, and plenty of outdoor chairs, plenty of room to space the seats out, and have services outdoors. Hopefully by Memorial Day.
The country is supposed to open up in four phases. Us in New Jersey/New York, we’ll be last. Maybe if other states open properly, Cuomo and Murphy may follow suit.
