DEXTER: So, uh, you like me?
MONIQUE: Of course. "So, uh, you like me"?
DEXTER: Are you kiddin'? I liked you from the moment I saw you, right off the bat. But I guess it was the same for you too, huh?
MONIQUE: No, actually, I thought you were self-centered and obnoxious.
DEXTER: Well, so much for my self esteem.
MONIQUE: I changed my mind, didn't I?
DEXTER: Yes you did. How come?
MONIQUE: (Pause) Ed.
DEXTER: (Beat) Excuse me?
MONIQUE: Ed thinks you're a really great guy. He's always talking about what a good friend you are to him, and what a nice and caring person you are.
DEXTER: Really? Ed said all that?
MONIQUE: Mmhmm. Ed is the sweetest, most genuine guy I ever met, and uh . . . anybody he likes so much . . . can't be all bad.
