For the duration of the creator's life, plus an additional 70 years. Unless the copyright is renewed, what you created goes PD after the 70 years is up. If you have someone else create the work for you, the limit is 95 years from the date of publication or 120 years from the date of creation. But it depends on which of the two expires first.So for how long can you copyright something at a time then?
