  Jim
        Henson - A Sesame Street Celebration (1990)
Released
1992 by Golden Music. Produced by Christopher Cerf. CD and cassette. This fantastic
collection of 21 songs features Jim Henson's most memorable performances
on Sesame Street. The first half features songs by Ernie while the second
features songs by Kermit. Every few tracks feature other performances
by Jim Henson usually as Anything Muppets. Another bonus
treat to this collection is that it includes a booklet of photos of many
behind-the-scenes pictures of Jim and his colleagues working on Sesame
Street. Even though the pictures are in black and white, they capture
        many wonderful moments.

 Jim Henson Records
decided to release this album that Jim Henson had recorded in 1984 with
piano and vocals. In 1993 an orchestra was added to what was recorded almost
ten years previously. Many of the tracks are excellent, however, sometimes
Rowlf is overshadowed by the accompanying orchestra. Released
1993 by BMG Kidz/Jim Henson Records. Produced by Robert Kraft. Associate
Producer: Chris Boardman. Piano and vocal tracks produced by Jim Henson.

 In
what marks a remarkable departure from form that is daring, inventive,
and a bit jarring (in a positive way), this is the first Muppet film that
relies on established songs as opposed to character driven, penned-for-the-film
        tracks. Included
on this disc is a remix of the 1979 "I'm Going to Go Back There Someday"
from "The Muppet Movie". Read more
