I wondered that too.
Not to start of rumors, but it could have been Artie Esposito. He puppeteered Elmo one year (most likely because Kevin was busy performing Hoots). John Kennedy is another possibility. As I recall, he often puppeteered Elmo whenever Kevin was busy directing. But really, it could have been anyone.
Here's the list of all the Muppets that appeared on the parade this year.
. Big Bird
. Abby Cadabby
. Murray Monster
. Cookie Monster
. The Count
. Telly Monster
. Baby Bear
. Oscar the Grouch
At least The Count was still in the parade and didn't retire.
^ Can you list the humans?
I saw Susan,Bob,Alan,Gordon. Some blonde lady I didn't know. I figure she must be new.
Wasn't that Gina?
Yup. That was Gina.
That was great! (It's funny how they kept calling Sesame's characters The Muppets ) Another great Parade as usual. Happy Thanksgiving guys!
.....Go Go Power Rangers.....haha
Gosh darn it! I did miss the Kermit balloon, but I did see the Sesame Street gang. There was Gina, Bob, Luis, Grodon, Susan, Elmo Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Count Von Count (maybe), Ernie & Bert, Abby Cadabby, and Alan.
My parents and I were supposed to se the Kermit balloon, but ugh my dad always tries to make us miss something.
I am sure the pre-recorded voice from Elmo was Kevin Clash. He will be deeply missed.
Lol! Yup. Sometimes, television viewers get confused if The Muppets include Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo.
Well could you hear the count or was that also pre recorded from Jerry?
I think the song was recorded after Jerry's death but I'm not definitely sure.
So does our dad. He wants us to have Thanksgiving breakfast at a certain planned time, as if he knows what's going to happen on the parade then! He's made me miss the Sesame Street float from 2008 to 2010!
Aaww... I'm sorry that your Dad let you miss the the Sesame Street from 2008 to 2010. I DVR the parade so I don't miss a minute of it.
It appears Maria wasn't there. Odd. Maybe she was sick?
Thank you. I forget about Gina. Gina came around when I stopped watching Sesame Street.
Yeah, I didn't see Maria. She is a normal show up too.
Here are the list of all the SS humans that appeared in the parade this year.
. Six Children
Hmm.. I didn't see Maria and Chris in the parade. Maybe Maria and Chris were busy with other stuff.
Weren't Kermit & co. supposed to be there too?
My mom was saying how old Bob is looking. I told her that he's been there since the show started.(My mother didn't say anything about Susan even though she's been around since the beginning too.)
It was only the Kermit balloon and the Sesame Street Muppets and humans. Kermit the Frog and the other Disney-owned Muppets didn't make an appearance this year.
They said The Muppets were coming in one of the annoucements before the commerical breaks . But they might had been referring to Sesame Street.
