Did you guys like it because of my comment or my misspelling?
I liked it because it made me laugh that someone could be too optimistic on a website that celebrates the Muppets! (And it was funny because its true )
I do like the tack misspelling though...it still makes some sense but it has a certain zing.
You know I'm really offended at the people who liked that.
How can one be offended at good ol' lovable Bo?
I pictured you saying that in the most dramatic but amused way!
Because my optimism rocks and it's why this movie is being made.
I've never made any claims of having superior knowledge to anyone else. Just as was the problem with the first film, I don't like how the new Muppet Movies are being created outside the Muppet family. That's an opinion. It's not being presented as fact.
I'm sorry that I'm not bleeding rainbows. Sometimes, I think 90% of this forum inhales unhealthy amounts of happy pills.
I believe everyone should be treated with respect and of course everyone does have an opinion.
I can't say for sure, but I don't think that the previous poster was aiming that post specifically at you.
Also on the subject of your above comment about films created outside of the Muppet family, I feel like, in a way, that's not a bad thing. In fact, this film was created by fans, which are, in fact, part of the Muppet family. I think that franchises should engage with the fans more, and appreciate their feedback and such, even if it takes a mega superstar Muppet fan to do that. If the same 3 people always made Muppet movies, I think that eventually things might decline simply due to lack of other creative minds involved. Even from the early days, the Muppets have brought in other people to play substantial movie production roles...James Frawley was even brought in specifically to direct The Muppet Movie, and the trend of getting outside directors and writers was often continued throughout the Jim Henson era.
No offense but I'd rather take an unhealthy amount of happy pills then be a grump. And no one asked you to be happy like rainbows and flowers but don't put down the people who are excited and have been optimistic about this from the start. Have respect for members please.
There's too much optimisim on this forum.
Can't you guys be angry for once?!!
Statler and Waldorf are always grumpy. We should learn from our elders.
ooo oooo *raises hand** I like rainbows too
No seriously I think Jim would rather have us be optomistic about new Muppet projects than looking for negative points...I think he's be proud of those who followed after him (though he might turn a blind eye to Muppet wizard of oz)
I don't care if my optimisim annoys people. I love my Muppets and they make me happy so I'm gonna be as happy as a clam. If people don't like it that's their problem. There's already enough miserable in the world and The Muppets help me escape that. And people have every reason to be excited about this movie.
Seasons 4 & 5 of TMS haven't even been put out on DVD & they're thinking of putting out another new Muppet movie??This is crazy!
*puts two hands out like a scale and tries to weigh the values of seasons 4 and 5 and a new movie*
*fails with class*
A new muppet movie...
Santa did read my list.
No it's not really crazy because unlike seasons 4 & 5 Disney doesn't have to fool with copyrights when making a new movie. They already have them.
Oh my glob, I still want 4 & 5!
