I doubted such a thing would happen. It's the Hasbro rumor that worried me.

You know who won't be directing the next Star Wars movie? J. J. Abrams..

According to the most recent issue of Empire Magazine (excerpt posted by Comic Book Movie), "Star Trek Into Darkness" director J.J. Abrams was offered the director's chair for "Star Wars Episode VII" and turned it down.
"There were the very early conversations and I quickly said that because of my loyalty to 'Star Trek,' and also just being a fan, I wouldn't even want to be involved in the next version of those things," Abrams I declined any involvement very early on. I'd rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them."

I like how Star Trek and Star Wars have the same director.

HEY! Maybe he can start back up Star Search too. And help revitalize Star Jones's career.
