The Jim Henson Company announced today that several licensees have joined together in creating Dark Crystal and Labyrinth licensing campaigns featuring posters, apparel, collectible figures, toys and more. This new product line focuses on the large fan following for both films and targets juniors and collectors of all ages.

Originally released in 1982, The Dark Crystal is a classic story of good versus evil. Fantastical characters such as the Skeksis, Mystics, Gelflings and others inhabit this imaginary world created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz (In & Out, The Score) and produced by Gary Kurtz (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back), The Dark Crystal has continued to be a fantasy favorite for more than 20 years.

Labyrinth, released in 1986, stars music legend David Bowie and Oscar winner Jennifer Connolly in one of her first leading roles as well as an extraordinary cast of creatures brought to life by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Directed by Jim Henson and produced by George Lucas (Star Wars, Indiana Jones Trilogy), this creative collaboration remains an enchanting classic for all ages.

"Fans continue to clamor for Dark Crystal and Labyrinth product and we are thrilled to respond to their requests with this exciting group of licensees," said Isabel Miller, Executive Vice President Consumer Products Worldwide for The Jim Henson Company. "The range of products offered is a true testament to the commitment from our licensees and the longevity of these properties."
