Travelling Pat
If there are, then none of us have found them yet. The Time-Life releases had easter eggs, but the first season set isn't known to.travellingpat said:Was there any easter eggs on this set, i remember somewhere htey said something about that there was...
Me too. I used to watch reruns a LOOONNNG time ago with my dad. I've always loved the muppets but I think it was when we got the muppet show dvd was when I relized how much of a fan I really was. And it was when we got the dvd I relized floyd was my favorite muppet .robinthefrog said:I was too young and missed the original runs of The Muppet Show on t.v. but I did catch the reruns and remember the show well. I love Mahna Mahna, great beginner on the first episode.
I doubt itDil said:Isn't there ANY countries that has the release of the unedited version of The TMS Season 1 DVD?
You're correct, rights do vary from country to country. It is therefore distinctly possible that Disney simply went for the 'lowest common denominator': they cut out everything that could not be cleared for all territories.Bill Bubble Guy said:Are all the edits exactly the same in every country? That's a surprise to me because I would have thought the music rights might have varied from country to country. In other words some countries might have had the rights available to some songs we didn't but they may have had to have some of the other songs edited instead. And if a country was extremely lucky they could have had it completely un edited. It amazes me that all music availability rights could be actually identical all over the world. But then there you have it since apparently they are.
THEY WON'T DIL!!!!Dil said:Argh!
Disney could not ever make the Vincent Price episode complete!?
They could not ever put 'You've Got A Friend' on that episode!?
Gee, a special episode without the closing number, Disney?!!
That's like Gilbert without Sullivan, Hamburgers without Fries, Ernie without Bert, Mom without Dad, etc. etc.
Why not figure out a way for both you and the music owners to both have the rights of the edited songs, so you can re-issue the Season 1 DVD (complete)?
