Here's my review of yesterdays episode:

The Goods:
-Yet another excellent story! I love Telly stories, and Baby Bear/Telly stories. I agree with Drtooh, the story is A LOT like what adults go through at child's birthday party, keeping the rambunctious kids under wraps. And what a sweet ending. Curly is as sweet as the Dickens!
-During the pogo scene, I liked the use of Telly's "Boing" song from that season 35 episode.
-Telly in slow-mo = funny!
-It's nice to see the whole Bear family again, since we haven't seen the since season 37.
-Thought a bit weird, I actually liked the CGI pattern cartoon.
-Another clever way of show the Letter/Number of the day, showing them as Baby Bear's presents.
-I see that guy in the H film was using a MacBook.
-Man, Cookie Monster can't even hold a real cookie and they've got Murry washing his hadns and need dough.
-Seeing another Sally cartoon. While not her best, it's nice to see more of her lesser-shown work.
-Another great Bert and Ernie animation. Poor Bert at the end
-I liked since the main story as mostly about cake, the Murray and E&B adventures had to cooking.

The Bads:
-Did anyone else notice that the end of the street scene was practically the same as the Hat contest episode, where it panned away from the characters and onto a banner.
-Not a fan of the "Happy and Proud" song.
-Uh, adding "What is rythem" to that old sound animation was a pretty bad cop-out for a celebrity bit.
-The India Ari bit was meh.
-Alright, we've seen enough of those kid-mural things!

-I liked the limbo version of the theme at the end.
Not exactly sure what you are talking about, but that version of the theme has been there sense last season, It's just that that played the night time music an awful lot.

And did anybody noticed the the extra added on sound effects to the 19 rap?

No, this was an actual Limbo version of the theme, different than the ones we heard last year.

Today's review...

Season: Season 39.

Word on the Street: Glockenspiel.
Street Story.
Nice job on suckering Leela into being their first act.
Snuffy: "We're starting to lose the audience."
Great to see Wolfgang again.
Cookie Monster's bit was traditionally funny.
Mr. Johnson appeared, grumbling about bad service again.
Unknown Claymation Segment.
Celebrity Moment: Randy Jackson explains what a glockenspiel is, accompanied by a Muppet dog.
Film: Kids talk about their different artistic schoolings.
Medley: *Not sure if this was animated or live. The main song was Sing, but Twinkle Twinkle was included and a bit where they sang "Hold That Dragon", a bit of an homage to the song from TMS Season 4 with Butch and Sundance, "Hold That Tiger".
Letter of the Day: The letter P appears on the talent show making the P-sound.
Film: Pam purchases a pepperoni and pepper pizza from Pablo's Pizzeria.
Animation: Has Anybody Seen My P? Town-Wide Tour.
Murray Has a Little Lamb: Going to Art School.
Film/Animation: What Comes Next? with instruments, sounds almost Puerto Rican in tone.
Muppets: Abby and Elmo compare how they're different and the same.
Animation/Song: "In My Head" by Suzy Kabloozie.
Number of the Day: The Five Flying 5's on the talent show perform their arithmetic acrobatics.

Wolfgang is BACK! Amazing. That's the first thing I need to point out. I don't think I've seen him since the 90's.

And I really like how Snuffy pointed out that if they didn't know what a talent show was, why did they decide to put one on in the first place.

The 2 unknown segments you refer to are these:

The Claymation bit was about a flat red clay kid wanting to play instruments, but getting them mixed up... like he used the violin bow on the piano, and blew into the violin.

The second was either an animated painting, or an animated children's drawing with the musical patterns. It's hard to tell if it's simplified expressionism, or something a kid did.

And another thing. I don't ever think I've seen that Sing segment, Nice little nods to 1930's sound cartoons and The Rat Pack. That was a nice little number.

Plus, it was great that they elaborated on the differences between a Glockenspiel and a Xylophone... even I didn't know that. I always thought they were the smaller, harp shaped things with bars on them. Wow... 27 and I learned something new from Sesame Street.

Aww, geeesh! I missed today's episode! I took one thirty second look at the street scene a few minutes after it had begun and figured it was a rerun. Just a lesson that you should give something a better chance than a few seconds before deciding if you're going to watch it or not.

I would have LOVED seeing Murray at art school.

Yeah, he hadn't been in any new material since that "zero fish" segment with Zoe...although this might be his last appearance, just as Mumford's last appearance was part of a street story. I personally wish that even more regular cast members (Muppet and human) had joined the talent show; too bad the street scenes are shorter now, because seeing someone like Bob or Telly perform would've been cool!

Murray and Ovejita decided to make artwork depicting each other; his was a childish-looking watercolor painting, and hers was a very realistic clay sculpture. Almost reminded me of that Global Grover sketch where Grover's donkey turns out to be the better sculptor...
