I thought the street story was pretty good myself. I thought the waffle thing was just a little dragging but all in all not a bad episode.

I loved how they did the upside-down trick on a day when both letter and number (W and 9) made perfect sense upside-down. Someone was actually thinking, and it was really neat.

Nice to see Elmo express emotion. he's pretty much stripped of it in Elmo's world. other than that, nothing noteworthy.
Looks like he's going to show some more on the upcoming episode where he gets jealous of Marco.

Here are the scheduled airdates for the remaining episodes...
Monday October 8 - Elmo Shows Abby How to Pretend
Wednesday October 10 - Elmo Is Jealous of Marco
Friday October 12 - Rosita Gets Upset at Zoe & Abby
Tuesday October 16 - Grouch News Network
It makes sense that a fairy godmother in training would have trouble pretending, when she can just wave her wand. I've in some of the worst cases, kids have to be shown how to do this, they have so much technology now; mroe appropriate a lesson than it might appear at first.

Elmo being jealous could be very good, or very bad; there is no in between. If they do it right, they can have a very sensitive segment where kids Elmo's age can learn a lot about new babies and the fact they can still be special and help with the baby, even if they aren't the center of attention. Then, it will be a a really great segment. If they do it wrong, it will be 10 minutes of looking at Elmo and nothing else. Then...

Zoe getting mad at Rosia and Abby...remember when i said how nice it was to see Zoe upset and correcting Rosita for doing something she shouldn't, and then being willing to help her anyway, a great, complex lesson about friendship? They seem like they're trying to develop these three female characters, with Abby now included, into a group that can have some excellent storylines between them.

Grouch New Network - this sounds like it should be qutie funny.

Yeah... Episode 4160 is the one we've sort of known about for months at Muppet Wiki. It'll feature Anderson Cooper from CNN in a parody of that network, with Oscar and two new grouch reporter characters named Walter Cranky and Dan Rather-Not, the letter of the day featured in that episode's street story will be G so I hope to get the Letter of the Day cookie segment where Cookie (voiced by Frank) nibbles and nibbles at a giant G cookie until eating it all.

Sorry, should have written Rosita gets mad Zoe and Abby, I was thinking of the earlier one; I guess you can't edit your article after so long, or after a reply, or something.

Be careful, Count. You don't want to give away too many spoilers. Lol.

I think the Elmo getting jealous ep would work. After all, we've seen the way he was jealous of Rocco. Though it might work better if it were 'Big Bird gets jealous of Elmo.' Considering he's been the star before Elmo took over, a plot where they did something like that might work. Just brainstorming here.

Here's the rundown for today... Have to give this one 3 positives.
1 The joke about Prince and Gladys seen once again.
2 Dinner Theater: Pear, they finally made good use of the source for the parody.
3 The film with the Spanish/English speaking family. Stuff like that makes me smile and tear up a little, it reminds me of my own life and childhood.

Episode 4157:Elmo teaches Abby how to play pretend.
Cold Opening: Word on the Street: Murray Monster asks about "pretend".
Street Story.
*Nice little potshot, Abby's doll named Prince, formerly known as "The Frog".
*Nice to get Steve performing a new character, the chicken that joins the game of make-believe.
*Nice to see Gladys again as she too joins the game.
*Gordon's rooster wasn't really a rooster.
Film: Kids pretend to be different animals, there's a classic Sesame song playing in the background can't identify it though.
Celebrity: Word on the Street Explanation: "Pretend".
Animation: Kids see different things in the clouds, narrated by Gordon.
Letter of the Day: Z, demonstrated as Cookie devours the batch of cookies Prairie made for him.
Animation: This is the Letter Z.
Animation: Z in the Jungle.
Song: "I Sing A Song" by Hoots and John Legend.
Film/Animation: Different instruments repeat the beat played by each other.
The Count's Counting Organ: 10.
Film/Song: Counting Flowers 2 by 2 up to 10.
Animation: 10 Petals.

Muppets: Song: "I'm Abby" by Abby Cadaby.
Animation: Zork comes to play ring toss at Camp Wackyland.
Sesame Street Dinner Theater: Pear.
Film: Spanish family gets together for a Puerto Rican dinner.
Muppets: Concert for Cuchara with Elmo, Luis, and Miles.
Film: Twinkle Twinkle on bucket, glass, and boiling pan.
Muppets: Song: "Imagination" by Bert and Ernie, with Frank's Bert and Steve's Ernie.
Animation: Monster playing the maracas and whistling the cha-cha outside a girl's window.
Elmo's World: Cameras.
Ending Insert: Oscar's Trash Time Band presents the sponsors.

I liked when Gordon said that you can pretend to be a ham sandwich! That just reminded me of something Richard might have said.

Ooh! I also loved the fact that Elmo referenced his doll David!
