I've listened to it today, I'll comment more when I have more time, but for now, yes, it's entertaining and worth getting. I would have liked a lot of minor changes to it, pushing the edges a little more, giving Piggy some applause, adjusting Animal's shouting. I've not listened hard enough to comment on the voices as such yet, but Rowlf was good and Fozzie was spot on. Piggy's second song was better than Santa Baby, but she's already done Santa Baby and it was probably a strain to make her sing it differently this time.

Overall, it's worth buying the entire CD just for the final track of Kermit singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

I liked this cd, and the thing i looked at most was rowlf, and i was so happy he had his own track, bill did a greeat job. i just wish they used a difffernt song for rowlf, the one they picked was a bit childish. i always thought of rowlf as a little "classier" if that makes any sense, if they gave him a crosby song to sing, it woulda been better

Really? I thought that song was perfect for Rowlf. I didn't find it childish. Atleast not in a bad way. The song is actually quite clever and funny. I mean, it is about a family sing-along around a piano...who better to sing it? Rowlf is the king of sing-alongs.

"Zat you Santa Clause" - Well, Dr Tooth's voice can't be all that great here becuase it took me all of half a minute to figure out who was meant to be singing. The background music is brilliently Mellow and Profitable. I think his voice finally picked up halfway through the song when he went, "Oh yeah!" After that he swung into the rockin' Tooth I remember. Bill (I assume Bill is voicing him?) catches the right edge on his voice, the little gratey-thingie that growls at the end of words. Dispite the grateing, this track is only acceptable, not great.

Red and Green Christmas - Piggy and Kermit...wow...I love them when they are together. This is a truely ushy-gushy track, see them standing by a frosty window gazing over a snow-covered garden...wonderful. I adore the harmony here and it makes me feel shivery and loverly. Piggy's voice is softer than usual, but I think that's a good thing. - And the ending is just...beautifull, after the "Misletoe". Very nice indeed. And it leads nicely into Rowlf...

Sing-along - Caught me off guard becuase at first I thought it was Dr Tooth singing, but once I figured it was Rowlf, yes, it's quite good. It was a nice choice of song with cute references to various other christmas songs. The backing singers...howling dogs? Strange, yet fitting. - Now when Rowlf starts talking away as he plays the piano, suddenly everything fits and it is Rowlf indeed. I get the feeling that this song was sung by Rowlf down at the pound, though they might be penguin backing singers not dogs.

Merry Christmas Baby - Oh ze Pepe's! Heh heh! What can be said for that spicey prawn. He just makes me laugh and smile. Brillient. I so didn't know that Pepe sang and danced...well, I guess everyone has hidden talents.

The Man with the Bag - First time I've heard the new Floyd in a major song and the jury is still out as far as I am concerned. He sounds like a cross between Floyd and Zoot. I'd have liked for Animal to be louder in this song, actually, I've not been impressed with the mixing on this CD at all...it may be my speakers, but some chracters are really quiet. Nice Zoot Sax solo in the middle there though. - Now why did Floyd not mention Janice in his song even though he complimented Zoot and yelled at Animal? Hmmm? Hmmmmm? I do laugh at his exit line though.

Santa Baby - She'd have a job to beat her original rendition of this song. This version seems softer and sweeter, but she does have nice voicing here. She always makes me giggle when she cuts into her growly-voice *cough* and I can imagine her on the Muppet Theatre Stage flouncing back and forth and making snide comments over her shoulder. I prefer the VMC redition though. Plus, she should have ended with her trademark laugh.

I'll be back to comment on the other tracks later.

Well, to clarify, I grudgingly consider him as an EM member in season 5 of TMS---but more like a "guest member" for that one season only.

Lips did steal from Janice. He sang half the bridge of "Boogie in the Barnyard" that should have been entirely Janice's as opposed to her merely singing half the bridge, and in one of her grooviest and funniest Muppet moments---her rockin' guitar riff in GMC on top of the double decker bus in "Night Life"---Lips is completely blocking her, obstructing her view until Richard finally manages to work around Steve and get her out from behind Lips only at the very last moment. He's also too much yellow---again, intruding on Janice's territory.

Taking away from Janice is The Cardinal Muppet Sin, climaxed in GMC, and therefore I have no use for Lips. And the fact that they felt they needed to create a new member simply for Steve never sat well with me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Needless to say, I do love it in MFC when Doc thrusts open the door and squashes said Lips against the wall...heh...a little poetic justice. (I can already see me and Lips on Dr. Phil, the doc trying to get me to embrace his Muppetiness)

I sort of understand your being perplexed, minor...Quinn himself hates Wayne & Wanda, yet I love them. I don't understand why he doesn't like them. Oh well...even Muppet fans have variety among themselves, lol.

It's been a long time since I've seen Boogie in the Barnyard, so I don't remember him singing half a line that Janice started. And while the Muppet Morsels say that it's hard for other puppeteers to upstage Frank Oz in a scene, I think it's hard for any Muppet to upstage Lips in his scenes.

There are times when I care less about certain characters because they steal from Lips. I don't care much for Rizzo in the last season of TMS because he appeared more frequently than Lips did, and sincde both are performed by Whitmire, that takes time away from Lips. I especially hate it in the Paul Simon episode where Rizzo plays with the Electric Mayhem but Lips doesn't. I also think it's sad that Rizzo was part of the gang in John Denver and the Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday but Lips was completely absent, and am sad that Rizzo had a big part in The Muppets Take Manhattan while Lips only appeared at the wedding (though I do like Rizzos scenes from this movie). Still, I don't hate Rizzo, and I do have a lot of favorite Rizzo moments. I also don't hate any of Steve Whitmires other characters, and I especially don't hate Kermit or Beaker, even though if they weren't used as much then Lips could have more screen time.

I know that you do dislike quite a few characters for stealing from Janice. I know you dislike Scooter because he stole time from Janice (since they were both performed by Richard Hunt). I know that when Rizzo replaced Janice in series 4 of the action figures that you boycotted mentioning his name (I don't know if you still feel that way towards Rizzo). I was surprised when I saw a post by you saying that you liked Hilda, since she and Janice were both performed by Eren Ozker in the first season, and she stole time away from Janice. Are there any Fraggle Rock characters you dislike because they stole from Mokey?

Just got it today (thanks to my sister who went to 3 Barnes & Noble stores to find it for me. What a pal! )
I thought it was great! The comments that Miss Piggy made were pretty funny. My favorite song on there was "Christmas Smorgasbord" with the Swedish Chef .
I'll admit,when Kermit sang "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and said "Merry Christmas everybody!" I got a warm "Awwww!!" feeling inside too! Made me wish I could give him a big hug!!
