"The Man with the Bag" - Floyd, Animal & Zoot ~ I really really liked this one too. Floyd doesn't sound perfect, the voice isn't gravely enough, but Zoot and Animal in the background were hillarious. I really liked this one a lot, a very good song for the Mayhem to do (Okay, fine right now any song is good for the Mayhem! Just let them get some publicity!).

Haha! That's interesting, Ryan. I kept saying how I think the voice was too gravelly. Eh, maybe I'll listen to it again.

I agree.. have had the cd for a few days and listened to it a few times.. (have it set to play randomly on my real player playlist that i leave running all day) and i love it.. i did have a half second pause for dr. teeth's voice, but after that, was fine with it.. (ok, i have a lot of the old muppet/fraggle rock music on the playlist too.. so... ) gotta get use to the new performers, but i'm just glad that they're still around
now Floyd took me a few seconds to figure out who it was supposed to be... the style is there, but the tone was "off" but, again, i'll get use to it, they're such fun songs and i'll be listening to them a lot more in the coming months...
i use to be able to name performers by the sound of the voice.. even on new characters... now though.. i've got to get a whole new slew of voices in there and keep track of who did what when.. *laugh* but i'm just too much of a fan of the whole lot to mind too much.. and over time, they'll either get closer to the "originals" or make the characters their own.. much as Steve has done with kermit.. the voice has gotten much much stronger and i think that even the personality is coming back.. it will never be identical, and we just have to accept that, because, well, even though htey share a birthday and all.. Steve isn't Jim, but he's pretty darn close...

Actually - I might wait until after Halloween to buy this. Playing Christmas music in October gives me a weird 'carsick' sensation.

*laugh* my first year at college (oh so long ago..) one of my room mates found out i had a decent collection of Christmas music and decorations.. she was so home sick that she raided my collection.. and.. we were listening to Christmas music (and she eventually started putting up decorations..) since early September..
oh that got soo annoying that year... but having it play songs randomly right now isn't too bad, plays only occasionally.. just enuf to break me into the voices..

My amazon order arrived today too, along with the Limited Collectors Edition of the John Denver and Muppets A Christmas Together. I put them on my computer but I am at least trying to hold off on Christmas music until November. I haven't really listened to it, just kinda skipped around but sounds like it will be a great addition to my collection.
