Muppets Haunted Mansion
Disney+ Premiere: Friday October 8, 2021

The long-awaited first Halloween special from the Muppets is here. This is the first traditional Muppet special in eight years since Lady Gaga and the Muppets Holiday Spectacular aired in 2013.

Official Description:

World-famous daredevil The Great Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending the night in the scariest place on Earth — the Haunted Mansion. Teamed with his friend Pepé the King Prawn this musical comedy reunites Kermit and the entire Muppets gang, who portray the beloved grim grinning ghosts of the Haunted Mansion in this star-studded, frightfully funny Muppets adventure.
Muppets Haunted Mansion features four new songs available now, including the 70's cover, "Dancing in the Moonlight" by the Electric Mayhem.

I didn't really like it, but I didn't HATE it either. I think it was way better than Muppets Now, but I really don't think that's saying much. I liked seeing some older faces pop up, but I don't have a whole lot to say positively past that. I'm still having trouble getting used to Matt's Kermit. Also, maybe it was just me, but did anybody else think they went a little overboard on the CGI? The flames on the candles kept distracting me for some reason.

It was alright. I enjoyed seeing Rizzo again and hearing him speak, even if it was very brief. I wonder who performed him?

I liked it. Not perfect, but it was pretty enjoyable. One of the better projects to come out of the Muppets since the Disney sale.

I was surprised to see Sal return, I was shocked to learn it was actually Brian Henson.

In all, it was not a bad special. The addition of Rizzo would have made it far better in my opinion, if only because I never saw Pepe and Gonzo as having much chemistry as characters and Steve has such great comedic timing, but we all know it just wouldn't happen.

Where's the "What the hey? I don't have Disney+!" option?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about the flames. It was weird because they didn't flicker when Will Arnet spoke, but then again, maybe it was intentional that they didn't since everyone in the house is dead so they wouldn't be breathing....

That wasn’t Rizzo, it was a generic Muppet rat performed by Bruce Lanoil. Overall, it was good. I mean it’s not going to be on the level of other specials but it was good nonetheless.

Rizzo was there during "Life Hereafter," but just a silent cameo (flipping the casino chips at the screen).

I love seeing both Zoot and Lips as ghosts and non ghost! I even love the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem cover of the song "Dancing in the Moonlight"! I would like to download the song when the song is ready.
