For some reason, I love it when Kermit gets referred to as "the lizard" by Fozzie's mom. She's probably the only one in the world who doesn't recognize him as a Frog (except of course for the girl in GMC "Look daddy, A Bear" "No honey that's a frog - bears wear hats" - Another favorite bit of mine)

It is definitely the best Muppet Special - right up there with the first three movies in my opinion. I will pay through the nose for an uncut release...

When it first came out I remember being confused on who the guy with the beard was at the end...

I agree- I would LOVE an uncut release. I knew who Jim Henson was, though- at a very early age (7 I think) my parents recorded "Jim Henson- the Man behind the Muppets" off TV for me. It was one of my favorite video tapes!

My favorite lines are the ones about all the sleeping arrangements that keep being made. Someone refresh my memory. One muppet is sleeping in the bathtub. And wasn't there a quote by gonzo about sleeping in the closet on a hanger?
