Why didnt Jerry Nelson have a regular character on the Muppet Show?

He is very versital, and it takes either practice or just raw talent to do that!!(my Wifes a singer she said that very hard to do)!

My Favorite vocie he does is Pa Gorg, and i love to here him sing in it. It has a southern tone to it I thinks thats why i love it so much!

I saw tha clip, but he makes it his own he sounds like a Boss, Buford T Justice type charater I love it !!

When someone mentioned Southern, my gut reaction was Foghorn Leghorn.

LOL HAH HAHHAHHHA....Ohhh I love Foghorn Leghorn He's my most favorite cartoon Character, But I digress, Back to Jerry.

Come to think of it Pa has a littile Foghorn in him?!:smirk:

See that's what I was getting at, but thinking it over I was having a tough time pinpointing the similarities in personality. Maybe the blustering and pomposity?

It's weird that in the section on his characters in Jim Henson: The Works, it lists J.P. Gross but not Dr. Strangepork (I also think it's weird that Louis Kazagger and Uncle Deadley weren't listed but Gross was, but Strangepork is a much more important character than all of those).

I forgot about Strangepork. I guess he was Jerrys second character after Floyd on the Muppet Show.
