*giggles a bit* Well, I may have a few good suggestions for you to use, MW. But, I'm not sure if they'd be to your liking. Depends what kind of "southern, hillbilly-type" characters you'd definately want to use, and what Southern state you'd like them to crash into. One state that is considered backwards (for the most part, unfortunately) is my own home state, South Carolina. XD There's a distinct line between "hicks" and "southern urbanites" if ya get my drift.

As for characters, my mind draws close to the farmer character that Jim did in the Candice Bergen episode, The Muppet Show, Season One; as well as The Jug Band.that band of 4-5 characters who would do "down-home" southern styled dittys on The Muppet Show as well.

Thanks MW. Might end up posting an open call for my MC friends to lend suggestions for the bats to be featured as the main focus of my counting collection.

As far as southern hillbilly Muppets.
Would leave out the farmers from the Muppet Musicians of Bremen, they were mostly villainous. Dumb and nasty, but villainous.
There's always the Gogolala Jubilee Jugband or Lubbock Lou and The Jughuggers, or the Hillbilly Singers one of which is the one mentioned by Sara from the Candace Berghen TMS episode. There's another one with a slightly rounder face/head in the Twiggy episode as well. In fact, the Hillbilly Singer from the Candace Berghen TMS episode lives in the dorms, affectionately named "Jimmy" by Layla whom he rooms with.

Hope this helps and I'm looking forward to a Spectacular update soon. Please!

Thanks, guys.

I took a look at the characters on Muppet Wiki's site, and they're definitely hillbilly and southern enough to put into the F4/Muppets sequel.

When you both mentioned Jug Band, I thought you meant as in Emmett Otter and his band from the Christmas special. I was picturing that, and it didn't seem like a bad idea. But I'll go with both the Gogolala Jubilee Jugband and Lubbock Lou and The Jughuggers, along with the Hillbilly Singers.

That should all add up to quite a greeting for Jen and Kira.

Well. That's a plan man. Although, something to point out.
You did notice we were mentioning two different jugbands fright? You can get the info on them at Muppet Wikia.
But they both act in the same way as George the Janitor and Beauregard. George was the janitor for the Muppet Show's first season before being replaced by Beau, though that clumsworth custodian's character grew as he was given the role of stage hand and handyman as well.
In the same fashion, the Gogolala Jubilee Jugband was the show's jugband for the first season consisting of five members: Annie, the female singer; Pa the fiddler; a jug blower; a guitar player; and a banjo player.
They were replaced by Lubbock Lou and The Jughuggers which included six members instead: Bubba the jugblower, Gramps on the fiddle, Jerry on the guitar, Lou the female singer, Lubbock Lou on the mouth harp, and Zeke on the washboard.

Hope this helps the cause.

Yeah, it helps a bunch.

I'm practically looking for a large group of hillbillies (and I apologize for the term--I'm just being specific) to be in maybe a few scenes in the tale. I'll just use whatever I can find, even if it means using two incarnations of the band.

Sounds great, MW! Two incarnations of pratically the same band? Neato.

Yeah. Can't wait, as I'm sure it'll end up truly fantasticabulous. (Ryan and Lisa's word).
BTW: Like the new sig? Those are two quotes from different people, will leave you to guess who they're from.

Hmmm....

Well, it's obvious who said the first quote in your sig. But refresh me on who said the other.

Ah... Was hoping you'd ask about the second quote. Actually, it's a bit of a variation accounting for language translation of a quote my dad imparted upon me when I was younger. AndI think it really speaks to the heart of the creative spirit we all share here, as well as to our own personal lives.

It sure does. Your dad and Uncle Ben sound like they have one thing in common: great ways of coming up with marvelous morals.
