I've been playing Guitar Hero metallica and there's this System of a Down song on it...I don't know it's name...but its stuck, oh so stuck, in my head!
You know what's worse than getting a song in your head? Getting half of a song, or fragments of a song you only heard a couple times stuck in your head, so you can't even follow the song fully. Weird segments of the song pop in to your head out of order/ Happens to me all the time.
THOSE really suck. I've had that happen to me, especially if you don't know the lyrics. But I try to make em up if I know fragments, like I had Margaritaville in my head but not the whole song. I just made up lyrics like:
Sittin in the sunset
Listenin to Buffet
Lookin at Senoritas covered in oil
Makin spaghetti
To put in my chili
Just gotta wait for the water to boil.
It is a horrible little song to commemorate the Birkibeiner ski race. I don't know the whole thing, and the chorus has been stuck in my head off and on since last week. It's driving me nuts!
Maybe when the Birkie is over this weekend, it will leave my head at least until next year. Here's hoping...
I've had several songs stuck in my head for the last little while, and they're all by Gordon Lightfoot - probably because I had a "best of" CD playing at my desk at work today.
