This song basically sums up everything I love about John Mellencamp's music in one song. It's beautifully written and sung. I really wish more of this type of music would come out nowadays as opposed to all that "edgy" crap that is ridiculously popular these days:

If it kind of sounds familiar, that's cause it was the inspiration for the song Bittersweet Symphony. Ever since yesterday when a radio station I regularly listen to did a feature on the song and played a little bit of this, it's been constantly looping in and out of my head, interchangeably with Bittersweet Symphony.

The fact you can get a ton of people singing to the fact we're all "a slave to money then we die" is brilliant, and it's so uplifting.
