I hope the schoolteacher shows up! I'm not aware of ever having seen him in anything else, but he cracked me up in the original. He was my favorite minor character.

He's a very famous old actor in the UK, he's been in loads of TV shows and movies - maybe they just haven't made their way to the states.

On Brad Grey, yeah Brad is a real nice guy and also has the offshoot 'Brad Grey TV' now - should make an excellent co-producer. Bernie is da man though !

...I hope I'm like Christopher Walken when I grow up.

Or Uncle Deadly, either way.

On IMDb it says that Johnny Depp will be playing Willie Wonka. I also saw in an article that Johnny D was going to play Wonka. It wouldn't surprise me because Tim Burton has done a lot of movies with him.

It might be Depp; I just think if it's going to be a darker type film that Walken would do so well at it because he's so freaky.

Christopher Walken is currently Burton's top choice.

Which of course would be brilliant casting.
I agree...you in the red, scooch closer....

Depp would be cool, too. (He seemed so normal on 21 Jump Street. Boy, that was way off.)

James Woods would be good in that role, also. No, wait, Walken would be best...No, wait...Uhm, could you come back to me....
