On to a different subject, I find it funny that in Olympic Games, Sonic has floaties on his arms during the swimming event. At least they rememberd that sonic cant swim
but back to speed.
In SatSR, you start off going relativly slow with bad acceleration, I would say worse acceleration but about the same speed as in the genesis games. But as you go on, you learn skills. Some skills raise your acceleration and some speed. Any improved acceleration is good, but you never want the highest speed you can go on because you are very likely going to run into something like a cactus or a spikey ball. Things come so fast on you that you have no time to react. Breaking doesnt help that much either, because you will slide. Speed can be BAD
He can swim, if needed, but his swimming ability is of something to be desired. This is why they have bubbles-with-breathing abilities located in respective places in the classic Sonic games.
erm...I was meaning that he cant physically swim. He sinks and walks on the bottom of whatever body of water he is in. I dont really consider that swimming
He can. In Sonic 2's water levels, there's time where he has to avoid spikes, arrow shooting gargoyles, and submerged robots whilst still be underwater. So, it seems to me that he'd have to be able to swim in order to avoid any of those things.
