There was a story that Amanda told a while back: whenever Richard was coming in from New York for the weekend, her mom would immediately bring out the vacuum, thus putting Amanda on high alert.

It said in 'Of Muppets and Men' that kids who were usually seen as hyperactive were completely silent during one of Richard's demonstrations.

And of course, Richard was enjoying himself as much as the kids were.

You know somehow I think Richard would not have approved of the state of my room, to say the least, lol. I almost never vacuum, partially because it scares the puppy, lol.

I've never liked hearing a vacuum running. At least my apartment has only wooden and linoleum floors, so I can get away with just sweeping it every now and then. And I'll be honest - except for those times when I'm expecting company (usually my parents or the housing inspector), my apartment is in a state of organized chaos.

Yeah you guys are right, the sound of a vacuum is just thoroughly unpleasant and no advances in technology have managed to fix that, lol!

On the video of Richard's memorial closing remarks, someone just wrote:

Beautiful. Richard looks so at peace here, with life, with the world, with himself. It's amazing to see.
I also recall how Richard had mentioned that Jane Henson wanted flowers for the memorial. And later during her own speech, Jane said, "I did ask for a lot of flowers." You can hear Richard chuckingly slightly as if to say "Heh, I told ya!"

Hey Yall talking about Richard in your dreams and stiff made me have one last night. I was out side of the Muppet workshop with other Muppeters Bll Bereta Steve Whitmere Dave Golze and Eric Jaconson. Then Richard comes out dressed like Willy Wonka, and says he is looking for his replacements to take over his Muppets. As we go into the studio Richard starts singing, and doing a little danceing as he walks In the studo Eric falls in a chocolet river and get sucked up some pipe. Steve Turns in to a blueberry after eating a glowing pice of gum. Bill gets shurnk down to the size of pin cause he and Dave wanted to be on TV. Dave just ends up falling down some hole, and leaves me and Richard alone.
Richard looks at me and laughs he said I kenw you would make it my son. Then he pulls out a box with all of his muppets and says they are yours use them wisly. Then I woke up. Crazy dream hummm?

Yeah, well, if you have Richard on the brain as much as we do around here, you've got to expect the occasional weird dream...and that one definitely qualifies.

I've had a couple in which they're all up to some kind of hijinks on the set, either TMS or FR, occasionally both.

Oddly enough, when I've seen Willy Wonka (the original hehe), he's reminded me of Richard; seemingly harsh at times but in the end we find he'd genuinely rooting for the little guy to win.

Yea and i think that In Willy Wonka when the kids where being tuned in to blueberrys and what not that he kind of got a kick out of it. I think that just about all the kids got on his nerves from the second he met them. I wonder if Richard wa like that to some deggree.

Well in that he didn't approve of people putting on airs and having an attitude.
