Right on. Richard got the proverbial golden handshake at the age of 18.

And I checked the MuppetCast page: Richard's big moment will appear tomorrow night, according to Steve. Which is just as well - I have my first class of the term at nine tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, Muppet-related dream last night: Jim and a few other performers (including Richard) were gathered for a group photo with a bunch of would-be guest stars. The only two faces I remember seeing were George Harrison, and Greg Lake of ELP. And I remember after the photo was taken, they all started shaking hands with each other. Way cool.

Yup it looks like tomorrow night is the big one! I'm just really excited, lol.

That's a cool dream! And the perfect Beatle to make a cameo!

Ahem...I mean, very good, Steve; I'll go off and have a listen. (bolts from room)

...Oh my, I love his mother. What a cool lady.

Gaah that was so good, I sat in the empty shower (the only room with some quiet-ness) and listened to the whole two hours straight. Lord that was great.

I know...I mean, there's just so much stuff on there that we didn't know about Richard before. So many incredible stories - like that one story Jane told - the one when Richard, while driving to a friend's house, spotted a young woman (apparently about to commit suicide) crying her eyes out by a duck pond, and stopped and asked what was wrong. And then the woman later writes to Jane and says, "Your son saved my life."

And then there's the paper route, and the trek through the Andes to Machu Picchu, and those stories from Frank...("Anything for Richie.")

Wow.

Weren't the stories wonderful? I really loved that story about that lady who called up Jane like, "You have no idea how much my little dog misses your son!"

Oh and David Rudman's story. "This guy recognized me!"

And how Richard was an accomplished treader of the boards in high school...and he apparently was an assistant stage manager as well...and Pete Coogan's memories of how Richard loved to imitate the northern English accents - that must have been worth hearing...

And the real reason Gus Allegretti couldn't use Richard: Gus turned Richard away for his own safety and mental health, for Gus' boss was a ruthless conniving jerk who would have broken Richard's spirit in a heartbeat.
