And what's great is John seems completely in the moment, he really sounds shocked and horrifed when he thought the frog died, lol. And then when Kermit delivers the punchline John just laughs, like he's never heard it before, it seems very natural. And for some reason Kermit keeps kicking his legs or crossing them through out the scene. Not sure why, but it's very cute! Hehe

John was so great, and he had such a perfect dynamic with the Muppets. He was (and still is) an absolute joy to watch with our cute Muppets (and by himself, too). He really loved it, and it shows so clearly... I love that.

I can just imagine this special... so adorable, hehe!

Sorry man, I didn't quite pick up those last two sentences you layed down about the band.
 Oh, you mean these!
 Now that, I can dig!

See, this new version of my screen-reader that I've got doesn't read smileys.
:frown: Rather disapointing, as you can miss a lot that way, as I've just demonstrated, hehe!

Yeah, A Christmas Together; a sure classic! Although I must say I was rather upset. I have 2 different versions, the edited and unedited versions, and although I looked really hard, I couldn't find either! I've got it on the computer, but it's just not the same, you know?
Yeah, their version of Silent Night is beautiful, but when it really touched me was when I heard the TV version on the Muppet Cast episode spotlighting MFC and A Christmas Together. Same song of course, but Steve made it even more special for me by describing the visual scene that accompanied it. Also, as it was rather late at night, I had my headphones in, and the sound is just so much richer that way, and it's like it's coming from inside and above your head at the same time, and it's just so beautiful!

That's so true; listening to the songs with headphones can be a much more fulfilling experience.

Oh, what do you know, someone posted this!

Alfie & The Christmas Wish
http://youtube.com/watch?v=a6neT-hK18k

It's in Every One of Us (from Rocky Mountain Holiday)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=BJKdscFPkxk

Durango Mountain Caballero (my favorite from RMH, this one includes John performing at another event as well)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=78i3nRCDXb4

Same song, only just the special (Notice the random conversation between Rowlf and John? That's where the airplane scene was cut)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=QFh31AKV-9Q&feature=related

There are a few others, but they're not hard to find once you get there.

My my! Was I really ziffled that much? Reminds me of the good old days of this thread, lol! I wonder what it'll look like by the time I submit this post...
Ah, so I wasn't the only one who found John's reaction to Kermit's story funny? For me, it wasn't so much what he said, but how he said it. I mean, here they are having this quiet conversation, and Kermit is telling this sweet and sentimental anecdote, and all of a sudden John pipes up with: "He died?" Doesn't really come across in writing, but you know what I mean!
Oh, and I've come to the conclusion that any dressingroom scene involving Miss Piggy is automatically hilarious! Granted, I haven't seen many, and I don't even know if there are many to see, but Dom Deluis, Sharyl Lad, and John Denver in A Christmas Together, (never saw his TMS episode) were a riot!
Oh, and I also watched some of Fraggle Rock to comemorate yesterday. Although what I watched was the first half of season 1, (I only got to the middle of episode 10 when I was irreversably distracted), and I kept thinking "Why am I watching these episodes?". I had reasons, but I forgot what they were. I think one of the things that made me choose 1 was Mokey's funeral which I never got to, but the earlier ones didn't feature him as much as I thought. Anyway, I'm rambling! I meant to watch Junior Faces the Music on Youtube, but I didn't get to it 'til this morning. Well technically, this afternoon...
:embarrassed:

And I wasn't ziffled at all this time... Go figure!

Lol, exactly! His reaction just seemed so real at that moment, lol.

What did you think of Junior Faces the Music? (You may have to write SPOILERS first, because I've seen it, but others have not, hehe).

Hey guys. Had a nice day today. Got to enjoy some time with both Kelly and Robert, we watched the play I was in "Toys Are Alive" that was done nearly 6 years ago! XD That was pretty fun.

Ooh, I've got a new blog. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it.

I saw the TV special a couple years ago. I can't remember what they did with Alfie, I'll have to see it again. It was good for the most part but heh, even though it's called "A Christmas Together", there is definitely more of John than there is of the Muppets, lol. There are a few cute Muppet moments of course, but it's largely John doing numbers while the Muppets watch and nod, lol.
I agree; on the CD, I would have liked to hear a little more Muppets, a little less John. No offense, JD.

But yes - they do a good job on 12 Days, Peace Carol is beautiful (nice harmony between Richard and John, ya know), loved "Little St. Nick" and the rendition of "Silent Night" was very nice.

Well believe it or not, the CD is much more balanced when compared to the special! Lol

I don't mind all the John songs on the CD so much when I compare it to the special. In the special John goes through this endless song and dance number with a bunch of backgrond dancers dressed as tin soldiers (I kid you not!). As you said, MN, no offence to Denver, he's great. It's just that "together" means together.
