Hi, Claudia! The more weirdoes we've got in here, the better. And chocolate-coated doughnuts (or donuts, whichever you prefer) are one of Richard's favorite snacks, just so you know.

I wish I had a Muppet plush of some kind - although, Mom and I are planning to make a mini Scooter figure for me to wear on my mortarboard when I graduate in May.

Wow, orange juice was his fave drink? Choco doughnuts?
Never knew that!

That is UBER CUTE!

I'mma copy that idea Erin. <3 Heeheee! Symbolism of Richard fandom and Muppet fandom! All in one!

Can't wait to get looks from my classmates!
 "Claudia, you like muppets?"

Me: HECK YES! THEY ARE CHICKEN SOUP TO THE SOUL! Richard too dude...*Swoon*

Erherm.

*Tries to dress her Beaker plush in graduation clothes* ;_; All I need is a Bunsen now...

Yup, we first knew about the orange juice from an interview on the Your Face! site ( http://rhuntfan.tripod.com/ ).

Then a few months ago Richard's niece visited the thread and told us Richard's favorite breakfast was Entenmann's chocolate donuts and orange juice. I have to say, I tried it once, lol. Well specifically, I tried duncking the donut in the orange juice and found that the juice slightly overpowered the donut, lol.

Right - it's really fun to hear (or see) Amanda talking about her crazy, puppet-wielding uncle. She also told us that the family often teased Richard by calling him "King Richard the Perfectly Terrible," and that when she was in the third grade, Richard came to the school one day and put on a show in the auditorium.

Let's see - heralde, I had another look at the Bernadette Peters episode. That's definitely Richard's hair - I saw a little bit of his ears down there as well - and I think that other head belonged to either Jim or Dave.

Yeah, I figured it was probably Dave.

Yeah I wish I had a plush too, though I am grateful for the Sesame Street ones I've found, hehe. A Scooter figure sounds like a cool idea for graduation!

Ok, watched a few more episodes of Muppet Show Season 2. It's fascinating how quickly the show became "The Muppet Show" we know and love today, clearly different from the 1st season (though that was good too).

I really enjoyed watching JP Morgan, she had a great sense of humor and it's always fun when the guests stars are slightly annoyed to be there (it can get tiring to hear "it's wonderful to be here Kermit" over and over again hehe). I definitely felt kinda bad for Scooter having to call his Uncle "Uncle JP, sir!". Not quick as heart warming as when he says it to Kermit, hehe.

I've always loved Zero Mostel and really enjoyed his interaction with Sam and his monologue about fears. Though, as someone on TP pointed out, it is kinda weird that Sam doesn't react to Zero seeming to put a gun in his mouth lol.

It's also cool to see the evolution of Janice's voice; right there before your eyes she's becoming a character. It sort of seems that they really didn't begin to write specifically for her and her new personality until the next season, which makes sense. Another reason to look forward to Season 3!

Specifically the Pearl Bailey episode. Janice actually gets to interact with Kermit saying how lame a music number is. At one point in frustration she yells to Floyd, "Honey, you tell him!" I wonder if that was the first time they were acknowledged a couple, and how that came about (again, Muppet Morsels people! Grr). :flirt: :sing:

Yeah, Mom and I think it'd be cool to have Scooter riding on my mortarboard during the procession - but my grandmother's going to have a fit about it. She's going to go on and on about how I'm making a mockery of the solemnity of the occasion and all that rot.

We joked that if we were Muppets, Gran would be Sam the Eagle.

Hehe, yup I think we all have a Sam the Eagle in the family, yes?

Well, I do actually think graduations have become a little disrespectful lately. But I won't include the Muppets in that category, since they represent intelligence and healthy rebellion.

Hmm, yeah, there were a few beach balls tossed around at the ceremony, much to the chagrin of one of the admin higher-ups. But that was pretty much it - the students and parents mostly behaved themselves, as far as I know.

As I recall, some of the profs cut loose a little bit, too - one of the art profs had a really nice floral design done in glitter on her cap, and I remember that the head of the bio department was wearing a bright pink lei over his robe (and he was the one carrying the mace up to the platform).

Haha, that is funny! Yeah I don't really mind the idea of decorating your appearance a bit, it's more behavior that bugs everybody that I don't like I guess. lol
