What? Ma-an. Oscars? Darn. Now I have to go ALL the way to the museum or wait for someone to rip it off and put it on youtube. Thanks for the transcript-y description though.

Aw, I didn't know about that either. It sounds really, really cute, though. I did see that picture of them, and Richard certainly did look... *sigh* :flirt: Thanks for letting us know about it, Muppet Newsgirl and heralde!

Hey, you're welcome. I admit I've never seen the clip; I had to go trolling through a few net databases before I found what I was looking for.

heralde: when you say "Richard didn't appear in that bit," did you mean that Jim was the only one reading the contents of the envelope, or something? Just curious.

Hey, I was just looking through the old fanmail threads, and I was wondering...Sara did you ever get your letter back from Scooter?

Oh I just meant you don't see him on stage, like you get to see Jim. You just see Scooter.

But how can that be? If Richard's not on stage, then who's operating Scooter?

Unless you mean that the camera was trained on Scooter alone, instead of both him and Richard.

I'm sorry, I'm just a tad confused.

I think that's what heralde is saying... that the camera was on just Scooter, or just that Richard was out of view. Like, Richard is on stage, but you just don't see him. At least, that's how I imagined it... maybe I'm off, though?

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it confusing. I probably should have mentioned that Kermit and Scooter were behind a desk on stage, hiding Jim and Richard. So then that allowed Jim to replace Kermit when opening the envelope.

Ah, I see. It's just that I've only seen the photo of Jim, Richard, Kermit and Scooter standing behind Cilia as she gave her acceptance speech, so I kinda supposed that the audience saw both Muppets and Muppeteers during the whole bit.
Oh, well, just as long as the live audience got to see all four at some point...and have I mentioned that Richard looks dashing in a tuxedo?

Hehe, once or twice... but it certainly deserves to be repeated. After all, when you're right, you're right.

I do hope I get to see that sometime, though (or rather, that all of us who haven't seen it get to sometime). It would be so much fun to watch.
