Ugh I swear, the most difficult thing in the world is trying to eat healthy! It seems I'm forever trying to buy the right things, but end up not eating them. Well today, I made a deal with myself. I'm going to buy myself an apple today. And if I don't end up eating it TODAY, then I will not be allowed to post on the RHLC tomorrow (a very special day as we know!).

If that doesn't motivate me nothing will!

Eat that apple, heralde, because tomorrow, I am going to offer an orange triple-layer cake (with orange-pineapple sauce between the layers) with chocolate glaze. (pause) Now there's a diet ruiner if I ever saw one.

(up in heaven)

Richard: Come on, diets were meant to be broken.

(down here)

Easy for you to say, Richard - in every photo we've seen of you, you've always been long and lean. (to heralde) Go for the Braeburns - they're very good eating apples, not too sweet and not too tart.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind!

Hehe, well it's not exactly that I'm on a diet. More like I'm just trying to improve my diet.

Heralde <---Is not trying to rationalize (lol)

Hmm...the chocolate glaze sounds promising! :flirt:

Um, hehe I assume you mean diet right? Hehe thanks!

Ok I promised something rare today! This is from a 1982 Muppet book Kermit's Garden of Verses, by Jack Prelutsky. It was mean to be the start of a Muppet poem book series, but unfortunately never got past the first book. I managed to find it on Amazon, and to my delight, this cute little book includes Kermit's ode to his gofer!

It does come across a little harsh to be honest, lol, but I try to think of it as Kermit talking about Scooter during the 1st season of the Muppet Show, when they were still getting to know each other. Hope you enjoy!

 "Oh, Scooter is my go-fer
But he doesn't go for much;
I'm sure that he'd deny it,
But he hasn't got the touch.

If I send him for a sandwich
He forgets to get the bread
He buys a day-old pizza
And he drops it on my head.

When he should be fetching doughnuts
He decides to take a nap.
He brings me boiling coffee
And he spills it in my lap.

BUT...
His uncle owns the theater,
Every window, every door,
All the crumbling walls and ceilings,
Every inch of rotting floor,
So though Scooter hardly ever
Does the things that Scooter should
He's my one and only go-fer
And he's got the job for good!"

Clearly first season, yes. Thankfully, the gofer soon graduated to the ranks of invaluable performer and assistant.

Hehe it's ok, typing is a pain sometimes! Glad you liked the poem!

Yeah definitely, someday Kermit would be putting Scooter in charge of the Muppets 3D pre show! (though he'd have to put up with Gonzo! Hehe)

Yeah, I don't tend to make spelling mistakes, but I definitely make grammatical ones. Like saying, "I really enjoyed to go the movies." Lol, I'm typing and thinking so fast I don't even notice!
