What a great summary, Will. Thank you for that! It was rully cool to read. It sounds real cute and funny in a few parts, and I can see where the not-so-great things come in, too. Definitely interesting!

By the way, I love being thoughtful to you, sweetie, hehe. I love you, too.

Quite interesting, indeed...of course, like I said, it's been eons since I last watched Sesame Street, so all my memories of the show come from the late 80s and early 90s.

Thought I'd bring this up - on Richard's page on Muppet Wiki, there's a photo of him in director mode for Fraggle Rock. It's one of the screenshots from the FR documentary, with him going over part of a script and Jim looking on with Cantus.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the quacking thing to.

That sounds like a great pick, Erin!

It's funny, because when the chicken was sing that love song, Carroll can't get his lines out and stumbles over them because he was trying to keep form laughing and getting out of character, but he couldn't help it for a minute, but he did regain his composure, though. LOL!

Aww, sweetie, thank you so much for loving to be thoughtful. I love being that way for you too.:flirt:

Thanks for pointing the photo out, MN! It's good to finally have something new on his page, right? Though his page is pretty long, which is great.

Hehe Big Bird cracking up, wish I could see that, lol.

Something I thought of the other day. If you've read The Works book, you might remember mention of Gus Allegretti, who was a puppeteer on Captain Kangaroo, and according to Richard mother, was one of the reasons Richard became interested in puppets. I was curious and managed to find these clips from youtube. Apparently his full name was Cosmo 'Gus' Allegretti (hehe) and he actually played quite a few characters: Dennis the Apprentice (who's a live person), Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose, Dancing Bear, and several others.

Dennis (the one on the left for anyone not familiar with the show)

Bunny Rabbit (he doesn't speak in case you're wondering at first!)

Mr. Moose (He's very funny!)

Thank you so much for those clips heralde! I used to watch that show every day! You right, Mr. Moose is very funny! The first thing the Bunny Rabbit reminded me of was sully.

Oh, also, there was a newer version of do-wop hop with the adult cast, kids, some background Muppet's and this one orange Muppet with a very low voice scatting in the background.

It's a very good thing that Mr. Allegretti said "sorry, we can't use you" to 18-year-old Richard...otherwise Richard might not have gone over to the Henson studios to introduce himself.

Then again, he probably would have, sooner or later...but it's good that he joined the Muppets sooner.

I was just up in the rec room watching TGMC with Mom, and we were picking out all the places we visited or passed by in London - turns out there were quite a few shown in the movie.

That's so cool Erin! You know, I think that Richard would have ended up with the Muppet's anyway, too!

Very true as it turns out! Well it just goes to show, when job-hunting you can't get discouraged when the first person tells you no; there will always be other opportunities, some that turn out better for you.

And I'm glad you got to see the clips the, ilikemuppets! I never watched the show as a child, but it's very cute.

That's cool about seeing the English locals from GMC. Do you remember what some of them were?

Let's see...well, it looks like a good bit of GMC was filmed in the West End, and that's where we've stayed in the city. I've mentioned Battersea Park a couple of times, but here are some of the others, and they're actually some of the really well-known spots in the city.

"17 Highbrow Street" was in Kensington and Chelsea, which would have put it very close to the hotel we stayed in last time.
On the way to the Happiness Hotel, Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo pass Trafalgar Square and go over the Tower Bridge - we spent some time in the square last year, and went walking out on the bridge.
When both our heroes and our villains are roaring off to the Mallory Gallery, Nicky's car goes past Harrod's - we've walked past it several times but never been inside.

"I say, did you go to Harrods? I was there in '58 you know!" Lol

John Lennon, A Hard Day's Night

Cool, I would definitely look for those places should I ever go.
