Or maybe someone without a sense of humor threatened to turn Richard into a real ghost if he scared people like that one more time.

Or maybe he tried to tell them, but nobody would listen.

R: "Really guys, she showed me out to get to the roof!"
Everyone else: "Oh no Rich, we're not falling for it again!"

...Although that sort of sounds like how the adults used to talk to Big Bird about Snuffy. Lol

(up in heaven, R. hears the ghost-related chat and joins in)

R: That's what they all said...until the White Lady came outside to chat with Jim.
MN: Oh? What'd she say?
R: The usual; she said we were doing a good job on the film, and we were welcome to stop in for tea after we were done.
MN: Nice of her...any other problems from the graveyard ghost?
R: No, not really...but I think he caused a few of the lights to short circuit at one point, and he spooked the dogs...and he broke the Muppets' support cables in the diamond room...and one of the cameras got stuck...
MN: No problems?
R: (sigh) All right, he kept causing trouble. But we heard the White Lady cursing him out big time afterwards.
MN: Why didn't this get reported in the newsletter?
R: It'd have gotten out of proportion, and people would have been fearful of getting attacked by ghosts, and Knebworth would lose money hand over fist...the usual. So we hushed it up.

Hmm, so that part when Beaker got electrocuted, was that planned or ghost related?

Judging from Bunsen's snickers, I would bet it was planned.

By the way: you know how I mentioned that one book, Quilting With the Muppets? It came in today, and I managed to sneak a quick look at it.

Turns out the Muppet Workshop made that one really elaborate AIDS quilt patch for Richard, and the book goes into detail about it. Really cool; I'll share more details later.

Yeah, that's the one!

Let's see...top row, second from left is a patch containing a photo of Richard with a young boy (prob. about 7 or 8). And the kid appears to be climbing on something, and Richard's holding onto the kid's hand to help steady him. Second from right, same row, is a caricature of Richard (doesn't look much like him to me), which was done in black fabric paint on a chunk of fabric cut from one of Richard's old T-shirts.

At the start of that section, the book says, "The most difficult and unique aspect of making this quilt was knowing that Richard would never see it. Perhaps the act of creating the panel was the quilters' way of dealing with that."

I don't know; I definitely think Richard's seen it (and the other panels) by now.

Thanks, MN! Now I want to buy the book! Especially since the photo on MC isn't too clear. But that's cool that the Workshop people made that patch, I always noticed how professional it looked.

I agree, I'm sure he's seen them and was very flattered (including the most recent one, which was pretty elaborate too  ).

Not that I want to pry into anyone's personal life, but wonder who the kid was.

I don't know; probably a younger relative or the son of a friend or co-worker.

Richard looks like he's in his early to mid 20s in that photo. And if you were to look closely at the photo, someone's painted or embroidered a pair of red AIDS awareness ribbons into it, so it looks like Richard and the boy are wearing the ribbons on their shirts.

I think he's definitely seen the panels...including that new green one. I hear that the two women who made it were completely out of their minds when they did it...and I think the younger one has a crush on Richard...

Heh, you have to admire those Workshop people, they always put in 100%, and then some when it came to little details.

Oh yeah that new green one, over rated if you ask me. (Hehe jk).

Anything else on the panel that's not easy to see on the website?
