Wha? Aw heralde, you shoulda asked Will or Carrie to give you the address for the MC Jr. apartments. It's a swell place and in need of an RHLC corner on one of its floors. Probably the main floor where we've got all the friendly and familiar sections set up, including a brand new Bathtubs room.
Hope to see you there in case you decide to join us... It's just a place to hang your hat if MC's locked down for maintenance reasons.

Yeah, it's kind of the same for me, heralde. In my case it's academics; ten million huge projects, plus the perpetually annoying housing lottery. At least I'm going to be a senior, so this is the last year I'll have to put up with it.

Nice to hear that you found a copy...and a few nights ago, I had a dream in which I found, on the library shelf, a copy of a book written by Richard himself. In the dream, I had eagerly taken it off and was running to the desk to check it out, but as soon as I opened to the first few pages I woke up. Curses.

Oh man, that kind of thing happens to me all the time! You have a dream where you finally get something you want and POOF it's over.

I have a theory: Everything in your dreams is of your own making, right? Well in a situation like that, you're excepting to find something someone else has created, something you've definitely never seen before. So your unconscious thinks it's not supposed to make up something itself, it's waiting for something to happen. Nothing does of course and the dream's over. Possible...

Funny thing, I had to go through something difficult yesterday. I very quickly prayed that I could be strong and not too upset. Then I just kinda put my hand into a fist and you know, it did sort of feel like someone was holding my hand the whole time. One of those weird moments, you know?

Someone reminded me that yesterday's Gospel said, "The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone." I do like to think God (and uh anyone who's up there hehe) is always supporting you, even when you feel alone.

Let's see..."For to His angels He's given a command, to guide you in all of your ways; upon their hands they will bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone..." I know what you mean, heralde.

As for the dream...well, it seems that I've had Richard on the brain fairly frequently, so it must be my subconscious acting up. (and with all the craziness going on around here, I'm grateful for it.)

That's one of my favorite songs ever.

MN, did you have a Spring break yet?

Oh wow, how have I never seen these before?! Muppet Wiki has photos of the issues of the old Muppet Show Fan Club Newsletters. There's a ton of stuff to look at, I'll probably be reading it for days (particularly the Scooter stuff). I'd like to know what everyone likes.
Here's the link:

But here's a sneak peak regarding the filming of The Great Muppet Caper:

"Knebworth House, in the country of Hertfordshire, England, is a Tudor house steeped in history. A few weeks ago, it was steeped in Muppets. The entire gang, complete with cameras, lights, electricians, make-up and wardrobe people, actors, actresses, and a convoy of vehicles and personnel, arrived on this stately location to film a sequence for THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER!

The filming went well but it was decidedly spooky. All the shooting took place at night, and some people were afraid the local ghosts might be upset. Knebworth has two resident ghosts - the White Lady in the house and a nastier ghost in the cemetery who, legend has it, definitely does not like to be disturbed. At one point, Muppet performer Richard Hunt sneaked up to the roof and suddenly appeared in a white sheet! If people hadn't been jumpy already, they were after that!

Despite all the commotion, the ghosts remained quiet, and the sequence was completed without any unnatural problems."

(laughs) Ah, Richard...up to your usual tricks, I see. Oh, well, the locals set themselves up for it by mentioning the Knebworth ghosts while the Muppeteers were within earshot.

"On Eagle's Wings" is one of my favorites too, heralde...although the last time I played it was at my uncle's funeral.

Aw I'm sorry, yes it is a good song for a funeral. Sad but inspiring at the same time.

Lol yeah really. And I imagine there's occasionally three ghosts haunting Knebworth nowadays. Hehe

Yeah, Richard's ghost might occasionally pop in for a weekend or two. I imagine that he'd get along well with the White Lady, but he probably wouldn't like the graveyard ghost.

And I wonder if, on his way up to the roof to do his ghost routine, Richard ran into one or both of the ghosts? (though the newsletter said all the ghosts - apart from Richard - kept quiet) Wonder what that would have looked like?

(Richard goes running up the main staircase and down along a hallway, a rolled-up sheet stuffed inside his jacket. As he turns the corner, the graveyard ghost lurches out.)

GG: You're one of those layabout Muppet people, aren't you?
R: Um...I was just passing through, and...
GG: Excuses! You've disturbed my slumber, boy! (starts to fly at Richard)
(enter the White Lady)
WL: Gerald! What are you doing in here? You're supposed to be out in the graveyard!
GG: But he...
WL: Get out! Now! You're scaring people and ruining the decor! (GG leaves.) Don't mind him, love, he's gouty and choleric but he's harmless.
R: What a relief...hey, can you tell me how to get to the roof?
WL: Straight down that hall and up the stairs on your right. And if you're going to do the ghost act, I'd recommend getting up on the north parapet. They'll be more likely to see you and panic that way.
R: Thanks, White Lady. (WL leaves; R continues toward roof)
