Oh yeah I loved Fred and his sound effects! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him star in Puppetman.

I remember some of the Mousecateers formed their own mini singing group called The Party and sang songs like "King of Wishful Thinking."

Wow, I did not know about that singing group. By the way, I do not believe that I have ever heard of pupet man, before.

Yeah, I understand the conversation going back to the muppets and everything. It's just that they are now "apart" of the Disney family, now. You know, about the pre-fab "singers"... It's seem's as if every Disney star now days is already made to be one of thoses. It's out of control! Just because you get a show with forced laughter and nonacting does not=singing career, ya know? It doesn't even mean you can sing.

But I guess in Disneys eye's it does, though.

honestly, MN, we didn't have to here it from you. They speak for themselves! I guess Money gets the best of everyone, even say a "Disney." At least they used to focous on quality.
Yeah...and here's a story my mom told me. Several years ago, sometime in the mid-90s I think, Disney's legal beagles (but Doberman pinschers would probably be more appropriate) put the heat on some public library in the Orlando area...because the library's mascot for its kids' reading program was a blue rodent called Book Mouse, and the guys at Disney thought it bore a passing resemblance to Mickey. Eeesh. Some people.

I'm sayin'. You know, My brother was telling me this story about this nursery or preschool that had a painting of mickey mouse on the wall, and Disney came after them threating then to remove it or they would sue for who knows what.

But you are absolutely right about how ridiculas they can get sometimes. It's disgusting, really.:stick_out_tongue:

Too true...and had Jim stuck around a little longer, I wonder if he still would have gone through with the deal.

And it's a miracle the lawyers haven't gone after people who made AIDS quilt panels depicting Disney characters (or characters at least owned by Disney). But I think that lawsuit wouldn't stand up in court, if there are any human beings in there.

Yeah, I doubt anyone would complain about the AIDS quilt, it would be in bad taste.

Bill Barretta Borrowing Convention...what, you can borrow Bill the same way you borrow someone's lawn mower or pruning shears? And after you've borrowed him, what exactly do you do with him?

Spring break's coming up for me (thank you Lord) and I'm going to be spending part of the weekend in New York. I'm going to spend a bit of time at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 'cause I'm doing research for a wicked huge paper on ancient Egypt...and hey, maybe I'll run into Richard's ghost in the shop while I'm there?
