It really makes sense; Scooter shares a few personality traits with Luke (idealism, sense of what's right...occasionally a pain in the neck to higher-ups), and Richard and Mark, I believe, were close to the same age, and they both came from large families.
That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that, Scooter and Luke are somewhat similar! Lol. Yes, they were born the same year and judging from Mark's performance on The Muppet Show, have very similar senses of humor! Hehe

Btw, after watching idealistic, serious Luke Skywalker for so many years, it was hilarious watching Mark just let it all hang loose on The Muppet Show, so to speak. Luke there was all hot tempered and violent and Mark was desperate to be a star, lol.

I also admire how Mark went on to be such an accomplished voice actor, rather than fading away after a big hit like Star Wars (it happens a lot).

Yeah, he played the role of the evil secret agent Muska in the English-language dub of 'Castle in the Sky.' I thought he did an excellent job on that.

They seem to have very similar senses of humor...yeah, I can picture the two of them goofing off together behind the cameras at Elstree.

Oh that's interesting! He also did a voice over for the '70s Fantasy cartoon Wizards. Apparently, the director Ralph Bakshi needed a voice very quickly. Star Wars: A New Hope was being made at the same time, but George Lucas still allowed Mark to take a break to record it. Heh, back in the good old, simple days when it seemed like all the directors knew each other!

And wow, we've had a lot to talk about these past couple days!

Not to mention the last 229 pages. He's a very interesting guy, our Richard.

Just looked on Muppet Wiki - Mark's quotes about his friendship with Richard are posted there, just so you know.

Haven't been here in a looooong while... Perhaps the one voiceover character Mak is and always will be best known for is that Clown Prince of Gotham, and crime... Jack Napier, aka The Joker. His current voiceover role is as the Skeleton King in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!, as well as his once human form known as The Alchemist from flashback scenes in various episodes of the same show.

Aw, no prob, thanks! Yeah, it's fun posting stuff on Muppet Wiki. I'm just always paranoid about making sure I cite sources and all. I'm sure you'd understand being paranoid about plagarism, MuppetNewsgirl, being interested in journalism!

Yay, the Sesame Street tape arrived today! Unfortunately, it looks like IMDB made a mistake and Richard didn't appear on this one (at least I don't think so). A little disapointed, of course. But at least there's still the Scooter tape!

And anyway, it's so nice to see the Sesame Street tape again. I really feel the tears welling up, to think I've forgotten these childhood memories for so many years! Something that immediately sounded familiar was the voice over before every story, "Adapted from the Golden book of the same name." ::sigh:: And I'm happy I finally have something Muppety to share with my future children.

That really is great, heralde! And it's so great that you're getting these tapes fairly quickly. Surprising too, I'll bet! I'm sorry to hear that Richard isn't on that one tape. But, what a treasure that tape is!
