Erin, I haven't gotten a chance to say it yet, but your quilt idea is really great, and it's so nice that you get to do it with your mom. I'll bet it will turn out looking amazing!

Aww, those clips were awesome, heralde! Thanks for posting them! Can't wait to see what other links you've got ready to post for us!

Thanks, Skye! It's amazing how many things people are finding to put on youtube!

Oh and my copy of Sesame Street Old School arrived the other day. But I'm not going to watch it until Christmas. Think I can wait? I hope so...

You're right, it really is amazing. And I love it!

Wow, Christmas? Well, if you can wait that long, I think you're stronger than I could be! On the other hand, watching it could be a cool Christmas present to yourself.

Yeah, that's the idea. I want to have enough money to buy Christmas presents for other people (and contribute to charity). So I bought the thing I knew I'd like ahead of time.

Same here.

Update on the quilt: Statler's done, Sweetums is mostly done, Scooter and Janice are works in progress, and Beaker is still in the design stage. The name, date and epitaph panels are partially attached, so it's coming along.

Yeah, what we've got looks really swell. Mom, being the one who's good with the needle and thread, keeps "basking in the white heat of my own wonderfulness." And every time she says that, I say, "Ow, you're giving me sunburn!"
Besides, if I never got any proper sewing lessons as a kid, I'm sure getting one now.

I just fired off an e-mail to Amanda telling her about the quilt. I hope she and the others approve. They ARE Richard's family, after all.

Wow, I finally made it! Sorry I haven't been around in a while; I occasionally go into lerker mode. Yeah Erin, that quilt sounds great! I do hope Amanda writes back, and I'm sure she will!
Heralde, those clips were great. I wonder how and why it is edited on the radio? And it did kind of start in the middle, so I hope the beginning of that version was the same as the one I know. You know, it's funny and a bit disturbing to think about. Music hit his head on the piano just because he couldn't come up with one word! Can you imagine what he would do to himself if someone told him that someone had written the song before him? Ooh, shudder!

The Don Music clip from youtube does start at the beginning of the sketch (just like two seconds off).

What I like about Don Music is that even when he's freaking out, he appreciates the help Kermit or whoever gives him and always says "thank you!" in the end. He could easily take all the credit for himself.

And yes, Don should realize he has bigger problems than missing words, like being sued for plagiarism!

Not to mention chronic headaches and a permanent dent in his skull. I mean, crashing your head into the piano like that can't be too good for you, can it?

I've got ten million school projects to work on and I have to register for next semester's classes, so quilt's on hold until the weekend. Then, we really get to work with Scooter and Janice. Mom's letting me have the honors with Scooter.
