Here's the scoop:
We've been working on it for about a month. It was the day that one of the campus ministry groups brought in a piece of the AIDS Quilt to put on display, and that night, I was scheduled to go to a rock concert with my family. On our way to a Chinese place for dinner before the show, as I was chatting about seeing the quilt, Mom asked, point blank, "You want to do an AIDS panel for Richard Hunt?" And after a few seconds of deliberation, I said, "Sure!"
This was back in September, and we've been working on it for about a month now, working out the design and putting the basic structure together.
I think I can spill a bit more about what it's going to look like. It'll have a green background and orange border. At the edges, we've got red Muppet Theater-type curtains, and we're going to have Scooter, Janice, Beaker and Sweetums peering out from behind them (and Statler poking his head up from below). In the middle, we'll have a few panels with Richard's name, occupation, birth and death dates and all that, and a bunch of smaller panels holding the names of eight of his characters.
