Kiki I so deeply apologize for missing your birthday:embarrassed:

I'm not around the forum very much these days since I can't get on till 11 pm and I'm spending quite a few nights around at my families' house away from my computer while my mother is going through her chemo therapy.

But I'm delighted to hear that it was happy and I will leave you another PM dear friend:excited:

Sara I hope your injuries are pretty well healed:concern: and hello to all the regular posters in this thread.
Also hearty congratulations on winning the award.

I hear you, we played sports occasionally like baseball, football, and ultimate frizbee (yeah...). I am not athletically inclined (though I can catch balls very well!).

Not only did the boys give me a hard time, but some of the teachers did too. They couldn't seem to comprehend that I didn't even know HOW to play, much less play well. Thankfully, there was one teacher who was always supportive.
I was terrible at sports in high school. Sure, I could shoot hoops and kick a soccer ball pretty well, but if you've got a mob of screaming, jostling teens all around you trying to tell you where to throw/kick and when to do it, that raises the difficulty factor several points. Thank heavens we were being graded for participation and not for skill.
When I go to the gym here on campus, I just park myself on a bike or treadmill and just zone out...although I've been contemplating taking up yoga or something like that.

Oh...and Marty, hope your mum's doing well with chemo. That's got to be grueling for both of you.

Ooh! Ooh! I had a fabbity fab day today!
Firstly, drama was fun-as. We were doing group activities and our drama teacher came over to see how our group were doin' and said "Looking good." ...as in our performace but for a joke i said "Thanks, i'm working out." Ha, WELL! That got my whole group utterly kacking themselves!

Then, when i got home from school, I found this package on the table from New York. It was from kevin Clash! I wrote to him last month and he replied! I got an autographed pic of Elmo that said: To: katie, thanks for the drawing! w/love, K.Clash and Elmo. and this other thing.
Hurrah! Happy-happy joy-joy! :excited:

Ooh neat! Heh, nice joke, I'll have to use that. The class cracked up today, because I had written this short story that included me describing a character as "Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.", and my teacher read it out loud. I didn't think it was very funny, but they thought it was vaguely amusing.

KEVIN CLASH? NEAT! How long ago did you send it? If the Sesame Workshop is answering their mail, squee, maybe I'll get Stevie's today!

Thank you! yeah, it was a goodie, "Thanks I'm workin' out." BA-DOOM-CH! I love what you wrote in class, lol, that sounds likea scream, ya hadta be there, eh?

Kevin Clash did take his time. What like, a month?! it usually takes, oh, i dunno, roughly two weeks for them to reply, i mean to Aus and all. (BTW, he came to Aus, in melbourne, where I live, only 'bout two months ago) I was sooo happy! He must've loved that pic, um, it wasn't great. he also sent me a little elmo hand-puppet. I love him now. I was thinking 'bout writing to stevie. I mean it's just that i drew a picture of three of my fave characters performed by him: bean, Wembely, and Rizzo. i shall post it here if it works.
I hope Stevie reply's to you, Marianne! I'm sure he will!

It's been...4 months. Stevie sure writes slowly. No reply. Though I did have a dream about him last night that would have been quite amusing if not for the end. He was held hostage by some Muppeteers, and then kind of dangled from the Empire State building in a helicopter, and then kind of dropped, and he had to answer a bunch of questions before hit the ground, and then he somehow landed in a lake, and then everything froze and I didn't know how it ended....or something. I think I'm gonna need a nicer Muppeteer dream very soon.

Wow... yeah, really, MBM. Nice to have a Muppeteer dream, but that's a pretty freak-ay one!

Of course, I shouldn't talk, because it's not like I've had a Muppeteer appear in any of my dreams recently!
