Thank you so much, Amanda. That really is a wonderful memory... I can see why it's your favorite. And his favorite breakfast is really funny. They sound pretty good separate, though!

And thank you again, too. I think it's safe to say that you've really thrilled us all here, and it is wonderful to have you here. Very glad that you found us! And we're all very much looking forward to hearing more whenever you want to, or whenever you get the chance!

Well, after reading all this, my mind is just brimming full of things to say!
First of all, welcome to the forum, and in particular this thread, Amanda, and thank you for giving us all this information, and also for being so patient and generous! At first I was a little embarrased, which is why I didn't post sooner, but now I see you seem perfectly comfortable and at ease with all the madness! And why shouldn't you be? You're in the Hunt family! lol Very good of you as well to put your email address up, and agree to read Sarah's stories. Let me tell you a little story about me, in order to explain a bit of my reaction to you.
A few years ago, a teacher of mine was invited to have dinner with my family. For at least two hours,, I almost couldn't eat, never mind make conversation! Although I've changed a little for the better since then, it hasn't been a 180 degree turn by any measure. I just keep repeating a paraphrase of what he told me; you're just people! No offense, though I'm sure you know what I mean.
Great story of you spying on Richard! It gives me a little kick, and a kind of joy whenever anyone says anything like that to say, he knows now.
Also kind of amused to hear about his usual breakfast; I'll have to try it some time But can I be really obsessive for a brief moment, and ask what type of OJ he p!r!effered?
Once again, thank you for all your time apatience and good nature, welcome, and I look forward to talking to you in the near future!

Kate

Sorry about the typos. For some reason I've always had a bit of trouble editing on the forum!

I thought before I left for the evening I would share my favorite Richard memory!!!!!

We used to spend summers on Cape Cod. So one night I went in to town (Provincetown) with a friend and as we were walking down Commercial St. I see Richard's blue (robin's egg) 1950's cadillac convertable coming down the street so we hid behind a building so he wouldn't see us...... I saw him in all his glory waving and talking to everyone (center of attention). To me it was amazing to see him in a totally different light than what I was used! I'll never forget that, and he never knew that I saw him!

I keep thinking of things I want to share..... his favorite morning breakfast....
Entemann's chocolate covered donuts and OJ...Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!
My, my...hardly the shrinking violet, was he? But that sounds just like him: a fun, crazy and dare-I-say-slightly-psychotic guy. Everything you've told us so far fits right in with everything else we've heard about him.
Have you read the tribute articles for him in the Articles section on this site?

And I think it's natural for parents to go obsessive-compulsive whenever a family member comes in for a visit. My folks really go nuts over the clean house bit whenever my grandmother comes in.

Chocolate-covered donuts...come on, Richard, would it kill you to have a nice bowl of granola once in a while?

Wow... Just wanted to say, after reading all of this...

Welcome to the craziness that is Muppet Central, and in particular the RHLC Amanda or beakersbreakers.
We certainly welcome you to join us here at this great place we affectionately call MC or even home.

Wanted to thank you for sharing all of your information and memories of your uncle Richard. Looking forward to seeing you in some of the other sections of the forum, if you decide to poke your head out of this little club.
And a word of advice... Be careful heading off into the FanFiction section of the Three Candles library. You're going to need a reading list to keep track of all the stories, who wrote them, and in what order to read them; tissues or teddy bear or other stuffed plush companion for the rully heart-wrenching moments; and some of our standard nagging tools to make sure the authors keep posting until the story gets finished.

Oh, BTW, my name's Eduardo or Ed. Mostly defer this RHLC organization to my good friend Sara (ReneeLouvier).
You'll make a fine addition to our MC family, have fun and have a great time here at this big ol' asylum.

Well, better late than never...

Amanda: Let me be the latest to welcome you to the community/family/zoo (pick one) that is Muppet Central. It's really nice to meet you. My name's Kim; I'm the semi-quiet one.

One of the things I admire about Richard is his singing voice. Did he do a lot of singing when he was around family, or was it something he saved for on-camera?

Sarah: Ack! Sorry to hear about the clipboard, hon. Any chance of tracking it down or will it have to be replaced?

-Kim

I'd like to point out that last night was complete torture, knowing this conversation was going on, and I couldn't read it for another nine hours. But it's finally morning.

Chocolate donuts and orange juice? Interesting. Quite disgusting, but a unique choice. Heh.

I was going to ask what his likes and dislikes were, and also how he was around the younger members of your family. But if we are overwhelming you at all, Amanda, just let us know, and we'll slow down.

Hello Amanda. My name is Martin. I don't often post in this thread but let me say how thrilling it is to have you here. Your uncle was a marvellous talent and an integral member of the Muppeteer team. You have every right to feel proud of him. I'll e-mail you some of my fan fiction sometime as well. I hope to have the final draft of my script for a fictitious season one Muppet Show guest starring Mr.Harry Secombe finalized by the end of the year. Look after yourself.

Incidentally Sara I enjoyed your video as Aughra. It was cool and great to hear the sound of your voice again. Take care as well.

Oh yes, Sara, I forgot. A bit distracted. Your video was awesome. It was so cool to see you, I haven't before. Thanks for posting it. And good luck on your clipboard. I don't know who would take such a special thing. Whoever it was must hate Muppets.

I know the feeling, Marianne. Last night my brain refused to shut off. So like a fool I sat up doing crossword puzzles. Okay, 18 across: what's an eight-letter word for being wide awake after midnight? I-N-S-O-M-N-I-A.
Of course, that's been going on for a few nights...

And no wonder the man was so off-the-wall; he'd had an early morning sugar rush!

Someone's going to have to contact the person who posted Richard's page on Find-a-Grave and tell him/her that there's a mistake there.
