Ah, the cake. Guys, I can prepare a cake for the party if you want, unless Sara or someone else wants to do that. I'm pretty good with a mixer and measuring spoons. But someone else will have to handle the decorations; I'm terrible at blowing up balloons.
Don't worry about the microchips gag...but will we have to serve cookies as well?

I'll do the decorations! He's turning 55 already?! Wow! That's a lot of candles! I remember once (my dad grandma and bro have the same b-day) So there were like, 100+ candles on the cake! By the time we lit the last one half the candles were melted already!

Yes, he was in Caroll's book! I remember him somewhere.

I think Richard was the one who gave Caroll advice for a skit or something where Big Bird was supposed to dance, and Caroll didn't know how to dance. Richard's advice was to have Big Bird think he was the best dancer in the world or something.

Hmm. Guess I'll just have to check the book out again from the library...

I believe there was talk of Steve writing a book, though that might be another project that won't be completed.

I hadn't heard of that talk before. That would be so cool if it happened, though. I'll definitely be hoping for it. You guys are right, he'll most likely show up in Kevin's book in some way or another.

Yay, a separate thread for Richard's birthday tomorrow is fabulous. I'll help Matt with decorations. And of course, we'll need to have orange juice and garlic-peanut butter popcorn... and serving cookies is an awesome idea. What a great party to throw for our guy. Great party for a great guy.
