And now comes my least favorite part about Thanksgiving: feeling miserable after pigging out during the dinner.
All the tryptophan in the turkey should give you a nice nap. No need to pig out. I've been around for 51 Thanksgivings, and never had one where there weren't leftovers. Even with twenty people or more.

Drinking lots of milk over the years helped me develop a tolerance for tryptophan. :stick_out_tongue:

I ate a lot of mashed potatoes..... best part of the meal.

I honestly didn’t even bother much with the turkey. 😕

We usually have a sweet potato casserole instead of mashed potatoes, because "you can have mashed potatoes any other time of the year."

My family and I actually had chili for dinner today. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, peas and gravy last year. So we had something different this year.
