So...... I just found out the exact problem that happened with why I never got the zoom links. It’s because the woman forgot to put the D (my initial for my middle name) between my first and last name in my email. This is the thanks you get for having to make a “professional” email as you get older. 🙃👍🏻

Still though, while I understand it’s an honest mistake, the fact that she couldn’t just copy and paste my email and I’ll never get my money back or this opportunity again really makes me angry and I have to hold back the urge to smash my head right through the wall.

This is exactly why I always have to spell my email out for people so they know a specific letter is excluded from the address.

Is there a way to even ******* edit your Google email name? Like I just want to capatalize the d so it sticks out more, but I’m having a difficult time figuring that out.

Honestly, not that I know of - or for any email account for that matter.

Wait a minute. You found out where the error lay, and it’s on their part, you’re still entitled to get your money back. I wouldn’t walk away from this. I’d write one more professional email, and if they don’t resolve it, contact the BBB. You are 100% in the right.
It was her mistake you didn’t get the link, they have no right to keep your money.

This is pretty much all of what she wrote to me. I don't know how else to respond to it:

Yikes. That is totally my fault. You’d think someone getting that email would respond that it was wrong. That’s what I would do. Anyway, it’s my fault for mistyping your email address.
I’m so sorry.

All the more reason you should get your money back. If they still won’t, copy this when you report to the BBB. If this company has any sense, they won’t want this to escalate. But this points more in your favor.

At this point I did politely ask for a refund. I’m waiting to hear back.

Well, at this point I got my refund back via a Venmo transfer. Still, the fact that it had to come to this in the first place is ridiculous......
