I've read sources somewhere years ago that all the sauce really was was a blending of ketchup, mustard, and mayonaise, which . . . kind of makes sense, I guess.

I honestly thought it just looked like orange food coloring, and I've long theorized that the sauce being a bright orange was a blatant subliminal message that this was a Nickelodeon movie.
