Y'know, I get reproached so much about my unpopular opinions, that honestly, my only response to it is simply this:
I
get people don't like that I don't conform to their opinions and that my opinions are unpopular, but my opinions are my own. As I said, Jayden Libran gave me a
big lecture about this, about how, as a puppeteer myself, I'm obligated to see this movie, if nothing else, to support the puppeteers who were given steady work to be perform in this movie. I
get that, I really do: puppetry is hard work to get . . . I know, because
I'm a struggling puppeteer myself, but you know what? I don't lecture people that they should subscribe to my YouTube channel and watch my work, because its their decision if they want to or not, and I shouldn't have to influence them or make them feel obligated to do me any favors . . . I wrote about this a time or two on my Scarblog: this is why I
never advertise my channel, or my work in general: I learned the hard way in years past that it does nothing but **** people off who think you're just desperately crying for attention. It's their decision to follow me, just like it's my decision if I want to see this movie. The puppetry is the
only reason I had for wanting to see this movie . . . there were otherwise too many other reasons for I had for
not wanting to see this movie, and yes, Melissa McCarthy is
one of them, because I'm
not a fan of hers at all; that doesn't mean she's the
only reason I didn't want to see the movie.
But, I digress. If my opinions bother you so much . . . then, in the words of Channel Awesome responding to the mass exodus of their former producers calling them out for their unprofessional and misogynistic behavior: I regret that you feel that way.
