Ann, we can't send them a signal. Though we could, since we have the upper hand of magic... But that's not how these things are done.
What we need is some nice fog to cover our tracks... That way we can sneak up on the other ship, board it, rescue our loved ones, and be back on our ship before they know what happened.
But if they do know what happened, then we'll use our bag of tricks, for defense only. I don't want the three of you getting hurt needlessly with foolhardy heroics.

*Anchor's raised and ghost ship glides out onto the murky waters with its crew.
