Like I said, I’ve weaned myself off soda for the most part. Yes, I was the poster boy for Diet Dr Pepper for a long time. Now I pretty much live on unsweetened iced tea.

As you get older, some of you may find out the sweetened cereals you grew up with might not agree with you anymore. (I pity drtooth)

Way back in the 1880’s when Coke and Dr Pepper were invented, soda was touted as a medical cure-all. Guaranteed to cure you of rickets , vapors, gout, fatigue, scarlet fever, and a thousand other ailments.

Now it promotes obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay. Derp.

I’m already at that age where I don’t even eat sweetened cereals anymore unless I feel like treating myself in moderation.

We never got to actually see what cereals Jerry had. But I’m willing to bet one of them is Rice Chex. Just from the size, shape, and color of one box.

I know he had Rice Krispies on a couple of occasions involving Kramer, because one of them was when that red neon chicken light was washing his entire apartment in red light, and his mistakenly poured tomato juice into the cereal thinking it was milk, and then that other time was when Kramer had those Japanese tourists staying at his apartment and was making them bowls of Rice Krispies for breakfast. "East meets West, Jerry."

Okay, I was close.
Now it’s time for a gyro, or a loaf of Jewish rye, chocolate babka, or Elaine’s big salad.

Or eating a Snickers with a knife and fork, or M&Ms by the spoonful.

As far as "big salads" go, sometimes I'll get a pre-packaged salad from Walmart, those are pretty sizable . . . the only problem is often times, they put tons of those whitish "core" pieces and chunks of lettuce into the salad, so you pretty much have to dig through the salad to pull those piece out, and you end up losing like a third or so of the salad that way . . . call me finicky, but I prefer my lettuce to be green, not white, and not brown; green.

Now, I won't lie . . . I once took a hint from George, and ate a block of cheese while laying around in nothing but my undies . . . and he's right, that's bachelor paradise! It wasn't the size of a car battery though, that'd be a little too much cheese for me.

Little bits of white lettuce core shouldn’t be in there. If those salad packs say iceberg, you have to be careful. Excessive moisture turns it brown real fast.
Romaine will last you a lot longer. And you get green leaf, and hardly any stem.

Arugula looks like spinach leaves, but it has a peppery taste to it.

Problem with Romaine is that it gets recalled a lot for contaminants like salmonella or E. coli. My mom got food poisoning a few years ago from eating a salad with Romaine in it; not a fun experience.

Personally, I like just plain green leafy lettuce, but that doesn't seem to be too popular.
