It’s actually pretty sad how accurate this is:

Much as I love Popeyes I really cannot stand their customer service. Every time I’m in the mood for their food, they give you the most uncomfortable feeling when placing your order.
Better clean up the kitchen before Mom gets home.

Never really experienced that kind of service at Popeyes before.
By no means is it overly dramatic like the video lol, but from my experience going to Popeyes the employees just have a very frustrating “just get your food and go” mentality that you can sense within them.

That's honestly almost every fast food place you go to anymore these days - especially the ones where they only employ high school students who need part-time jobs.

Key word in my post: almost.

Speaking of which, some McDonald's locations were supposedly going to be having employee strikes sometime this month - not sure if any of them have happened yet or not, but this minimum wage $#!+ be gettin' real yo!

Touché. But in fairness, I do get that. I mean it really depends on location as well but Popeyes in general just never had the best customer service which is why I rarely find myself chowing down on their chicken in spite of how tasty it is. **** even the McDonald’s near my apartment actually has some decent chsotmer

I mean that’s McDonald’s for you. They don’t pay you enough to make cheap processed food and deal with annoying customers.

Having had experience at BK, not much has changed much in fast food in 37 years.

They pay you just enough so you don’t quit.
You work just enough so you don’t get fired.

And if you quit, the owners know they’ll have someone to replace you tomorrow.
Unless you’re going to be an owner, which means for McD’s sinking 250k into it, nobody goes into fast food as a long term career.

it’s always been like that. Low wages, no benefits, high turnover Bu with schools letting out soon, there will be a new batch of kids looking for a summer job.
But like I said, unless you have little ambition or skill set, nobody is looking to make a career out of flipping burgers.
I lasted one summer. That’s par for the course.

Brian the fuzzy one,

have you ever worked at Nathan's hotdog? The summers are the absolute WORST to work there!

No, Nathan’s is not on my resume.
I know th Coney Island location gets slammed with customers in the summertime.
That’s the reality of being a cook in a restaurant kitchen. It’s hot and dirty, you’re always on your feet.
Like so many other kids, fast food was a start.
As I got older, I got more experience in restaurants, not necessarily fast food chains.
I did every restaurant job. Washed dishes, bussed and waited tables, worked my way up to being a cook. The pay got better, got benefits, one restaurant job lasted ten years. That’s where I reached career level. A far cry from BK.
I stuck it out long enough, and worked my a$$ off. But that applies to any field of work. Get ready to work hard. There’s no way around that.
