Herb: Thank you for the explanation Sarge. But Grace, tell me then, if you were not even sure if that was true, then why did you mention it?

 

[Lola p]

I know it is true. This kind of stuff just works in weird ways, ok?

 

[Hubert]

Herb: What I'm saying is that you said that you don't understand something, yet you were talking intelligently about it. The point I am making about that is that how do we know that you really knew something the other facts you talked intelligently about? What if you didn't understand something else in the incident, yet you passed it off as a pure and true fact, as if you were an expert on it?

 

[Lola p]

I dont know!

Herb: What did you expect when you came to a trial? Now tell me, how can the jury be sure that the facts you talked intelligently about are actual truth?

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Humans do that about monsters all the time. Mr. Grey said himself that monsters are always portrayed as evil, so he felt it nessesary to pull the alarm. He did not understand Grace, and used false facts that he felt was correct to defend himself. This is no different.

Well, coming from one of the species themself....

Herb: Attorney, did I ask you? Now Grace, please answer my question. Now that you have given the jury considerable reason to not believe everything you are saying, how do we know that you can be trusted? You are not at liberty to leave the stand until you answer my question.
